During the September 11th attacks, New York City police officer John D’Allara gave his life to save countless others from the rubble. In his honor, Spyderco created the D’Allara rescue knife in 2003, made with sanctioned materials from the actual wreckage in the handle. Now, the folder has been updated with a G-10 handle and a 3.4-inch CPM-S30V blade. CPM-S30V is renowned for its edge retention and corrosion resistance. Here it takes the form of a modified drop point for extra control. The G-10 handle is armed with a ball bearing lock that’s reliable and easy to operate. Finally, there’s an ambidextrous pocket clip for righties and lefties.
