My DHL tracking seems to have stopped on the 20th of September saying leaving New York. Should I be contacting Massdrop? My last drop didn't take this long (it's coming to Australia).
Just got mine today. Loving it! Love the build quality, took a little google searching to find the right way to set this little guy up (thank you GeekHack forums), but damn it works well.
So I got Cherry MX Gray switches. 4 of them feel right, but one has no tactile 'bump'. It seems I got 4 tactiles and a linear. Anyone else have anything like this?
saveSeems to just be a programmable macro pad. The extension to program works in for chrome and works with http://tkg.io. Got mine yesterday, and programming it was super easy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WXQ4PFe39c What I programmed works great on my mac and my pc, I imagine it would do the same with linux.
I have to admit my StaryU came the same day as my 3D printer kit and now I'm just getting around to using it.
1. "RGB backlighting [,,,]" How? The schematic shows just two lines to each LED. Is Massdrop telling a lie again?
2. I see a "Lite" firmware. What is this?
3. Massdrop calls this a "Macro Pad." I only see a keynap generator in the form of TKG. How do I create macros? Do I need to compile the TMK firmware from source? Or is Massdrop telling lies again?
MagicSmoke1. No clue, but there are youtube videos that show folks who put the RGB lighting in theirs, so it's doable. Has built in RGB for the Star LED, just need to enable using it on tkg.io. I have mine cycling through all the colors on pulse.
2. Staryu lite is exactly that, a lite version of the Staryu from this drop. I have one, and it seems pretty... iffy. Reprogramming it has been a super pain in the ass. Not at all the case with the normal Staryu. I was able to reprogram it easily within 15 minutes of getting it.
3. Yeah.. I don't know how to do that, so I haven't, but again a google search will show that you can write macros, but you have to do so by hand. The tkg.io generator does not do it for you.
