Size and Weight Champion
It's not fly fishing. It's not hobo hand-reel fishing. It's sure as hell not bait casting. But it is fun, it is relaxing, and I was impressed with what I got for what I paid. I tried it out recently back to back with my fly rod, and while it is limited slightly, I was really happy with it. For backpacking, I can't see why I would not toss this gem in the pack.

Great kit. Easy to set up and use.
Was able to set up and cast within minutes out of the tube and bag. It didn’t take long to effectively cast. Wish there were some instructions. If I didn’t already fish, I would have been challenged figuring out how to get going. This kit stays in my backpack now so I’m always ready. I added floatant and a couple of additional flies so all set for opportunity fishing anytime.

Great fun, I use it on small streams and at a local pond. I’ve read bad reviews of Tenkara co rods and I have to say, i’m Very pleased And have nothing but rave reviews of this rod
