I bought 2 snails - Galaxy - Antennae Galaxies (black opalescent) and Earth - Night Sky (purple)
Purple snail i use as an F2 (to try stop me pressing F1 accidentally), the black opalescent one for calc.
the eye storks seemed pretty sturdy.
I use F2 a lot, and have had no problems pressing them.
Same wet for calc, although i use it a lot less.
BUT one day i did find that the black opalescent calc key eye stork on my desk.
Very surprised i didn't lose it.
This didn't happen from my pressing the button. My guess is a cable go caught and snapped it off.
I glued it back on with superglue. But the angle is a little bit off. such a small key and the weird angle made it hard to get right.
TLDR;
Not too fragile for typing, but easily caught on cables which will break off eye storks.
This keycap is insanely beautiful. I bought it and somewhat regretted it after being more thorough with my inspection of the photos. In fact, I thought the swirl looked cheap and wasn’t very attractive. Well let me tell you, what I received was actually a faceted shell instead of a swirl, which presents the contained hex shaped reflective material in an unparalleled brilliance. This has actually become one of my all time favourite artisan caps now. Just beautiful, and no photos do the in person experience any justice.
