I usually pass on miniature games masked as board games, but the theme/art on this sold me

Why is it so hard to get pics of the minis in all of these miniature-focused games? Both this drop and the D&D drop.

G-DeuceLate reply, but didn't particularly like the miniatures. Main problem is that they're not the same scale! I don't remember the miniatures having much detail, but may not recall correctly. Dice plastic is green, and they didn't account for this, so the dice look muddy. Otherwise, a "one vs. many" sort of dungeoncrawler, with a dice-sharing gimmick (that can bog down play as players optimize dice). However, if you're an IDW TMNT fan, you should still pick up the game, particularly if you don't own a "one vs. many" dungeoncrawler (eg. like Descent).

I have had this game on my wishlist for a while but I am not sure the April O'Neil expansion is worth the extra cost.

Are the other character expansions that are not included (Casey, Splinter, maybe others I don't know about) also worth it? And what's the minimum age someone should be to play this game?

Already own both, I can recommend it even if I’ve only gotten it to the table once. Solid overlord game that’s streamlined and quick to set up and play especially compared to descent or imperial assault
