floodsI've received mine, honestly they are ok however, I made a few into "Holy Oranges" and they have a great sound but a slight wobble. 9/10 would buy again.
Would cop 110 switches for $25, no question, but $37 is approaching the price of budget boards that ship with switches of similar quality, with a similar paucity of trusted reviews. Not gonna lie, the allure of a Halloween-themed low-profile board is hellof real though. Edit: I’ve actually just found a few TTC typing demos on YouTube that sound pretty encouraging. Also a Reddit thread that suggests the clear topped switches are scratchier than the opaque black switches, so I dunno. Thinking out loud here.
Okay, I'm not gonna lie to ya: I totally bought some just because of their color.
I am also curious to expereince them first hand, for my own sake.
Worst case senario, even if they're the worst switch in the world, I can always try swapping bits 'n pieces out.
Which variant have you bought? I've bought a set of clickies and a set of tactiles.
They will go into whatever hotswap keyboard will arrive first (or will have arrived when the TTC Orange switches arrive), either the WoodKeys Scarlet Bandana or the TVK MiniVan Catalyst. I also might give them a try in my XD75 if none of the other hotswap keyboards has arrived until then, but I'm not that fluent with typing on ortholinear keyboards, so I'm not sure if it's a proper test drive.
XTaranI went with the 45g red linear versions. I usually buy weightier switches but thought I'd see what those were like.
I used a Corsair keyboard with genuine cherry mix red switches for many years, so I have that experience to compare these to at least.
I have a Kumo Minivan coming myself, so I may have to give them a whirl in that too.
Okay, this is a pretty good joke, Massdrop. Who tricked you into running a drop for these? These are very shoddily made clones of cherry's own switches, even down to spring weighting. Oh, and the housings are NOTORIOUSLY brittle. Excellent troll here, guys!
whtwhtwht> It says 3 pin, but pic shows only.
But the pic shows only what?
Two pictures clearly show the middle cylinder and two contacts, i.e. 3 pins, so the pictures are consistent with the description.
