TL;DR: Unless you *really* need an Alps platform, just don't. Costar stabs, MX version is North-facing, cheap build quality, not worth it. There are plenty of better keebs for less money here on Drop.
I own one of these, but didn't get it here. When I bought it in early 2019, it was one of only a few keyboards equipped with silent switches from the factory. These days, there really isn't a good reason to buy a keyboard like this - not at this price, anyway. The MX version is essentially a cheaped-out Filco MJ2 - all the negatives, none of the positives.
That is, it's got Costar stabs and none of the better build quality associated with Filco - but the worst part is the coating on the case - it's that soft-touch stuff. That's right, this keyboard will age like mold - it has a velvety coating that will literally decompose into slime after some amount of time - how long that is likely has to do with how much sunlight it gets.
Silver lining: this keeb can be shoe-horned into any case meant for the Filco Majestouch with a little drilling.
