Of course these will work fine. They are an old design, just made in titanium. I have a number of pairs in steel. You can find them in the ice fishing section at the store. Where I live we get ice storms and I have worn them to get great traction when I would otherwise not be able to avoid falling.
These kinda seem like a terrible idea. There are no cleats at contact points of the foot. Seems great if someone just plants you somewhere and says don’t move but I am not sure how this could be helpful in any other way.
Clearly, the solution is to buy 20 pairs and just tessellate them across the entire sole.
Speaking as someone who lives somewhere with icy sidewalks, by the way, I don't think they'd help for that, either—same weight distribution issues.
DetexWouldn't these actually be painful on the arch as well ? Titanium can also be brittle, this positioning would put a great deal of inconsistent stress on them.
