Following the worldwide success of their Homo Sapiens model in 2010, Visconti released the Homo Sapiens Florentine Hills in 2014 as a limited edition of 1000 pens. The Florentine Hills edition is the latest in the Homo Sapiens Crystal collection of demonstrators, with a cap, grip and barrel end accented in rich green resin inspired by the lush Tuscan countryside. With Visconti's famous palladium "Dreamtouch" nib, the Homo Sapiens Florentine Hills Limited Edition fountain pen provides a luxurious writing experience in a beautifully detailed package.
Note: This drop is limited to 30 units. At check-out, you can select a nib size from Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, Double Broad, Stub.
The Homo Sapiens Florentine Hills edition is the newest version of the Homo Sapiens Crystal line, a unique collection of demonstrators with acrylic barrels that show off the inner workings of the pens. The body is swirled with ribbons of colored celluloid shavings suspended in the clear acrylic barrel, as well as the semi-translucent green resin cap, grip, and plunger end. The demonstrator style gives the user a window into Visconti's patented Double Reservoir Power Filling system technology, made from titanium for extra durability, reliable function, and complete corrosion resistance from any ink formula. The push-pull plunger mechanism is easy to operate, and can be engaged when the back cap is unscrewed from the barrel end.
Every Visconti Homo Sapiens Florentine Hills fountain pen features Visconti's patented 23-karat "Dreamtouch" nib, which is comprised of 95% pure palladium and requires no pressure to lay down a line of ink. Per Visconti, this unique nib offers a 30% enhanced flexibility over 18k gold nibs, and the palladium its made from cannot be corroded by inks. Visconti's signature engraved crescent clip as well, as the rings accenting the cap and body, are crafted from 925 sterling silver.
