Why would anybody in their right mind buy a crappy slow cooker in a world where electric pressure cookers exist? I suppose I could understand it if it was a fraction of the price or something, but you could get an Instant Pot from Amazon for cheaper than this, and it would be far better than this thing. Why does such a crappy overpriced product even exist?

Looked like a nice product until I read up on the source of the clay. The clay in the liner originates from one of the most polluted locations on our planet. Reading several white papers of ongoing studies of the health problems of the rural residents of that Province (due to soil and water contamination and air pollution that's worse than Beijing's) going back several years pretty much ended my interest in putting any food in contact with that clay. I'll pass, pretty much in line why I don't buy anything from China that touches any of my food.
