Upgrading to the Ridgerunner from a gathered end hammock is the best gear choice I've ever made. So comfortable. Add my insulated pad and I'm in dreamlike comfort and warm, with no need for an underquilt. Makes the RR economical compared to a gathered end hammock as well.

Warbonnet has the highest quality outdoor gear, handmade, right here in Colorado. Excellent customer service also! I’ve laid in many hammocks and this bridge hammock is by far the most comfortable. It’s like being at home in my bed. There is a slight learning curve to get the hang just right for you, because there is no structural ridgeline with this type of hammock, which sets the sag in a standard gathered end style hammock. This hammock IS a little heavier than a standard gathered end, but when compared to gathered ends with similar features it is about the same weight, and if you are slick and replace the spreader bars with your hiking poles, it’s lighter! Also, the Lynx underquilts by Warbonnet fit this hammock perfectly. Clip the four corners and you are done, forever! No fiddling, no gaps, no cold butt, no slipping, no adjusting, absolutely no fus, and since they are narrower than a standard underquilt, they are also lighter by a few ounces. This attribute combined with being the most comfortable hammock on the market makes it my choice every time when I want to hang.
