The battery pack is great, multiple iPhones, iPads can be charged simultaneously however it is heavy, and not exactly pocket size. Think two cigarette boxes back to back big but heavy. However it works perfectly.

It was a little bigger that it appeared in pictures, but it definitely delivers all the power that it promised. It's got a nice, tough body and feels well made. Great job!

ZENDURE A8PD 26,800mAh USB-C 30W PD Power Banks I’m giving it 4 Stars. Overall, this is a fine power bank. I use it primarily as a backup battery for my 2016 MacBook Pro. And it works great for that. Even when the Mac is low on power the bank can keep up with it, supplying power for use and trickle charging the internal battery at the same time. Now for the annoying points. When in use, and the whole time the bank is recharging, the % display is brightly lit (draining) or flashing (charging). And the light does not go out the whole time. If you are recharging this overnight in a dark room, the flashing display can light up the whole room and be quite annoying if you are trying to sleep. Secondly, the Type-C port can be finicky about the power adapter you use to recharge it (and I haven’t yet figured out why. I’m sure it’s a wattage issue). I have a couple of Type-C Adapter bricks, including a new high wattage Anker, and the Zendure doesn’t always start recharging when connected. I’ve got to fiddle with everything to get it to start charging. Now if I use the C port on my Apple Mac Adapter it works fine. So I’ll have to test things with my Type-C meter and see what the difference is.

Holding down the button to change PD direction of power transfer works on mine. In the parlance of the USB PD specifications, most recent Mac laptops are "Dual Role Power" mode on all ports, but may end up in either "UFP"/"Consumer" or "DFP"/"Provider" mode if the connected device (such as this power pack) is also Dual Role. By holding down the button on the Zendure, it's probably triggering a renegotiation of the roles such that the laptop is forced to enter the opposite role. Unfortunately, I have yet to see a way to trigger this change in role on the macOS side. Testing this A8PD on a Macbook from 2017 (one USB C PD port), the default behavior is for the A8PD to be Producer, and the Mac Consumer. Holding down the button for 4-5 seconds flips it and the Mac then charges the power pack instead. Holding it down again toggles back to the Mac being charged by the power pack.

iamsanchoThanks! That was helpful. I have had instances where it seems that “nagotiation” doesn’t go as expected and the device refuses to recharge, or stops recharging after a period of time, when using different power bricks - Anker and Aukey specifically. They are 30w and 45w brinks so should not pose a problem. Yet, on occasion the Zendure stops or refuses to recharge. I have since upgraded to Ankers new 100w power brick and have not experienced that issue again. Nevertheless, it seems the Zendure power bank can be picky about what adapters it will receive power from.

Item was bought 6/11/19 for my son to use during his senior year, he graduated March 2020 then joined the US army military. The power bank wasn’t used till he finished and come back home for 10 vacation last July 2021. He tried to use again the power bank but this time we noticed that it will not hold charge, for five days it’s staying at 11-16 % only, it will reach 20+ % but once you unplug from usb charger it will return to 11%. Contacted drop community support, she checked and was advised that the item was delivered 6/11/19 and I reported the issue 7/12/21, the item came with 2 year warranty so I missed like 3 weeks. I even contacted Zendure customer service but was advised that they will only replace if the item was bought from them or Amazon. It seems nobody wants to help so I’m stuck with this useless power bank, what a waste of money. All I can do now is to warn others about this item, not recommended.

Stopped working after a handful of uses
  • This item started out as a great battery to charge my phone while traveling. But after sitting unused for a couple months, it stopped charging. The battery indicator would show 100%, then immediately drop to 0% when attempting to charge a device. Despite Drop's claim that this product carries "ZENDURE’s 2-year warranty," customer service from the manufacturer was dismissive. Luckily, Drop allowed me to return the item for a refund.

Will prefer other well known brand.
This is almost a year review. At first 6 months it was great, then suddenly power bank won't charge up to full in which never encounter such thing of other brands. Although I like to build quality but now is useless junk.
