HE4XX earphone upgrade
He guys I just ordered these from a place called Anontee for $118.00 I have a Cambridge CXA80 amp. It has a balanced XLR output. I spent another $45 on a NewFantasia HiFi Cable 4-pin XLR Balanced Male Compatible with Hifiman HE4XX, HE-400i (The Latest Version with Both 3.5mm Plug) Headphones Silver Plated Replacement Audio Upgrade Cable and thought I would share. When I try out something new to me I have a few pieces of music I crank up because I know them so well. And I was wondering what you guys like to put on to test something. Mine are "wind it up" by MOE.. Copperline, James Taylor,.. and Bolaro

Did you actually receive the item from Anontee? I ordered two items two weeks ago from them and never received anything! I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the site was shut down two days later.

I tried to catch 660S but I missed it. 660S (not S2) is another smartphone friendly 600 series headphones besides 58X. I'd get 66XS instead of 6XX due to better sensitivity.

Six months is too short, right?
About six months ago, I got my first OTL DAC and it has been life changing. I have a hard time not using my DAC. I also got some ATH-R70x headphones to go with it. I've run into a problem, though. Lately, I've been getting some really serious feedback from my headphones. I'm a little worried, and want to get some insight into what on earth could be going on with my Audio setup. I'm fine with replacing some of the pieces, but I'd rather know what I need to replace. On the flip side, I'm wondering what could have gone wrong with my setup in six months. 'Cause six months is too short for this problem, right?

THX 789 distortion?
Setup: I bought THX 789 for the massive output of idk 6W/32ohms, but whenever I try to use my Sundara/Modhouse Argon/HD600/Arya V2/...whatever, I cannot reach decent listening levels in terms of db without getting this scratching/hissing noise in the background ... I think it's distortion. (DAC I use: Geshelli labs - J2, set to max volume) Settings: With an XLR output, gain setting level at 2/3 and the volume knob set to 2-4 o'clock, hearing distortion from a 250-350$ THX amp shouldn't be a thing, should it? With somewhat hard to drive headphones, I'm not reaching 70db, but I can already hear this godforsaken noise on all tracks without a constant stream of sound. If you dare to up the volume past 4 o'clock, or past 12 on gain setting 3/3, this noise becomes so loud, it might as well be an additional instrument Music: The tracks I usually listen to involve so few instruments, that you don't have a constant stream of sound. (e.g. Creep - Lena Hall) I'd love to get some feedback!...
