Favorite Live EDM Set Recordings

more_vert
I'm a huge fan of listening to EDM live-sets. I find it so much more satisfying than listening to individual tracks because of the way they flow, tempo, transitions, etc.
Anyways, I commute 4 hours a day and am getting a little tired of my usual go-to's. Wondering if anyone has any recommendations? Here are 5 my favorites (in no particular order):
Kaskade Ultra 2014 - https://soundcloud.com/kaskade/kaskade-live-at-ultra-music-1
Dmitri Vegas & Like Mike Bringing the Madness 2016 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNjQ2pTv7FE
Martin Garrix Ultra 2016 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4r1tq1XBN0w
Zedd Live @ Bill Graham 2017 - https://soundcloud.com/user-261329278-273678939/zedd-echo-tour-at-sf-bill-graham-2017
Afrojack Ultra 2018 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9gNvBJbmsg (This is my fav right now...)
Random aside, anyone know a good place to get high quality recordings? I find even the "official ones" on youtube are often pretty meh.

Back when I was listening to alot of DJ sets, I found the best way to use a podcast app on my phone and subscribe to podcasts in the genre you're into. Alot of these podcasts were 192kbps mp3 and easily saveable.
Nowadays, it seems it has to be Soundcloud if the artists posts there... but they don't always allow downloads :(

Daft Punk Alive 2007 is the only one that matters.

MXRCI rescind my initial comment and say
Daft Punk Alive 2007 (Great remixes of originals) Justice Live All Access Arenas (Awesome music easter eggs)
are the only ones that matter.

I highly recommend Solid Steel Present Amon Tobin. By far my favourite producer of all time. Not really a pop sound, but it is sonically beautiful

Completely understand about live sets, I actually prefer to listen to them as well, helps with the time while at work.
Tiesto - EDC 2017, Krewella - Tomorrowland 2017 Seven Lions - EDC 2017 Excision - Lost Land 2017 Tritonal - Electric Zoo 2017 Skrillex - Ultra 2015
Excision might be a little too much bass, because I saw an earlier comment about you liking more mainstream. But good stuff in the other comments.

Give deadmau5 at Glastonbury 2015 (or was it 2014) a shot, one of my favs.

You really gotta explore beyond that mainstream, generic, noise that you call EDM. Check out the proper genres of trance, house, deep house, old school electro (which was popular before it morphed into big room), psytrance, nudisco, chillstep, etc. Check out DI.FM (or search for Digitally Imported), it's an app for your phone that's only for electronic music and it has hundreds of channels that are all free. As far as artists, check out Alex M.O.R.P.H., Sander Van Doorn, Aly & Fila, Sam Divine. They all have radio shows or podcasts.

Aries-51I’ve given most of that stuff a try, but it turns out I really enjoy generic mainstream noise.

I am not really a fan of the electro/big room sound, so I don't have any suggestions there. However, if you would like to check out some deeper jams, John Digweed's "Live In" series (deep/progressive house, techno), John 00 Fleming's "Joof Editions" series (prog house, techno, trance, psy) and Max Graham's "Cycles" series (later volumes: 6, 7, & 8 - prog house, techno, trance) are all fantastic mixes with great sound quality. You can get most, if not all, on Google and some on CD if you wanted to rip to FLAC.

The mighty "Stage One" by Space Manoeuvres.. Old but gold. That melody is infectious. Tilt's mix is my favorite of the bunch. JAM!
