Yeah I just got this exact toolset on amazon for 16.99 after 1 dollar instant coupon and a Free next day delivery. How the Massdrop has the nerve to ask 30 bucks for it and make it looks like it’s been discounted!?? This is misleading and just greedy! Shame on you MD!
iFixIt Tools are really good, but being those unbranded it seems that they are either selling this without the branding to make cheaper or those might be products with some small imperfection that may have been refused by iFixIt.
Not sure about the quality in this case but would be cautious.
i bought this in December and never got mine yet and now i see this drop is going again at a $3-$4 dollar cheaper price not looking good for you massdrop being i am a first time buyer i don't think i will buy from you again if this is how you do business for paid customers
I wouldn't recommend buying a cheap tool set to work on electronics, at best it will slow you down, at worst you could damage parts/components.
iFixit has a great, affordable and quality kit I would recommend (That this set is so desperately trying to copy) and a user below recommend the brands Wiha and Nanch, both make great tools as well.
Unless you only want to take a retired electronic device apart to see how it works inside, and not worry about whether it works if you put it back together, don't cheap out on tools.
Wiha is a german company, I am a professional electrician and I try to get all my tools from Wiha and Knipex. German steel is just superior to any other tools I have ever used, and the pricing on German tools is now a bargain, they used to be far more expensive than they are now.
