I received mine today and the quality of the leather and workmanship are great. I wasn't not expecting it to be so large though. I mean, I checked the dimensions but there is a lot of room inside. With it empty and snapped, I can slip my hand in and make a fist and I have beefy hands.
So, great quality but I do not see myself using this thing. I will be buying a wallet from Allegory though. The leather is gorgeous.
I love this idea. We are looking for ways to expand our Edc line, this may be coming in a future release. Email your sketches to service@allegorygoods.com and let's talk.

AllegoryGoodsLove this. If you guys narrow it down and want some community input, we can create a poll for he final design/color options.
Definitely interested in helping to make this happen, so cool that Massdrop can be a place where community designs come to life!
Love it! Really cool.
Pen, notebook. You can Frankenstein a plastic or cloth holder for driver's license and a credit card and slip in in with the Field Notes. In the elastics, my Swiss Army Knife, earphones and lip balm. Zip holds cash and coin, possibly also my iPod shuffle. Two essential keys added on a small ring to the carabiner, carabiner on jeans belt loop, and out the door. Fantastic.
Redheaded1Carabiner on the jeans belt loop? How cumbersome is it to walk with that hanging?
I close the whole leather flap over a backpack shoulder strap and attach the carabiner the top handle of the backpack. I find this works best for me.
Still not sure what to carry in this. I have lip balm, knife, flashlight, pen and notebook. Cables are too awkward and messy in there.
I have had mine for a little while and finally got a 3-pack of the Moleskine Cahier. These books won't fit in the pouch, the "band" seems just a bit too small.
I read below that these issues had been addressed. Is anyone else seeing issues with the most recent batch?
I should have updated my post weeks ago to say, Allegory made good on their promise and shipped me a replacement swiftly. It fits the field book very well.
wrenhunterGood to hear their customer service is helpful, thanks. Guess I'll be working with them, as well.
Still, it's a bit concerning that you read before your drop that there was an issue, supposedly fixed, then you had the issue after the 'design change,' and now here I am, 16-or-so weeks later...
Hey all just checking back in about the fit issues here. We have altered the design to make sure this doesn't happen moving forward and we are sending replacements to anyone affected. We tested each one before sending, but they were made for a tight fit and leather is a living, breathing material. Even a change in humidity or temperature could cause a change from "tight fit" to "doesn't fit. So we've built in more breathing room into the design. Thanks for working with us as we tweak this new product. Developing and refining products alongside our customers can be messy, but the end result is always worth it.

Recieved mine (finally!). After first joining the drop I had a bit of buyers remorse, I wasn't sure if this was really what I was looking for and it looked a little cheap. But as soon as I opened the package I was really happy with it. It's not as big as I feared (i can fit it in my back pocket, but it sticks out like a trucker wallet, and it's a pretty tight squeeze ). The quality is really nice in my opinion. The leather has a nice feel to it, soft but also sturdy. The buttons and clip are really nice too. I was also worried about the little strap things that hold pens and what not, I was afraid stuff might easily fall out, but they seem to hold really well as they are elastic, hopefully they don't stretch out too much. Also they are designed so that the bottom of the straps can be used both closed and open. One thing I wish was that the "pen straps" went all the way to the bottom, then you could fit in longer things without them sticking out of the top (I'll try to take a pic of this, it's hard for me to describe)
I bought this to carry some of the things I normally carry in my pocket at work (marker, glue stick, small notebook, toothbrush and tooth paste) , and everything fits really well. pleasently suprised with its quality and functionality so far.
Been using mine for nearly a month now and it is a fantastic EDC piece. It lets me carry everything I could realistically need on a typical day and fits almost perfectly in the back pocket of a pair of jeans (about 1/2 an inch sticks out which is great since I don't use the carabiner on it). I walk about a mile and a half to work each day and it keeps me from having to carry a bag unless I'm going to need my laptop.
fractaltheoryLook to the bottom of the page and you will see the word "Massdrop" written three times in different font. That is what you are looking for.
TasselhoffHm, yes, those are examples of the different font-faces, but the description says this: "For an idea of what your personalized engraving might look like, see the photo of the cover engraved with “Massdrop.”
With that in mind, what I was expecting was an example of the engraving on the actual pouch.
