Yeah, this is the first and last drop I'll participate in for anything that's available elsewhere. I could have had this exact keyboard three weeks ago for a few dollars more—about the price of lunch.

Also these switches are not original Cherry MX switches. You can tell from the fact that the word "cherry" is not mentioned. And you can get a mechanical keyboard WITH original cherry MX switches for around this price out there. Massdrop only seems to give good deals. Many times it's basically a clickbait rather than anything else. Group buys should show more buying power to offer good price and true free shipping!

I bought this keybord from massdrop in the previous drop and they didn't handeld it good. The orders were delayed a lot. For the people in the Netherlands expect to pay around 24 euro's extra for taxes. furthermore the keyboard is really nice and I like it a lot, just not how massdrop handled it. PS sorry for bad English, it's not my first language.

yoyodark600As a Belgian, I'm with you there. Anything with a package value (item + shipping cost) of over 22 EUR will incur extra costs. For us, if it's less than 150 EUR, the added cost is 15 EUR + 21% of the package value. If it's over 150, you have to pay even more additional fees.
It'd be great if we had an in-EU Massdrop warehouse/affiliate...

yoyodark600I am right with you there, I paid extra 19 Eur to our state in Slovakia ... Unfortunately I cannot blame Massdrop for default VAT and customs fees in EU. Probably the only way to tackle this is to have Massdrop register a branch in EU?
I like the keyboard. Keys feel ... lighter? than other Browns I ever typed on. Backlight modes are fun and eye-catching. The only things bugging me are non-detachable cable (I'd appreciate mini-USB) and that indicators have way too bright white LEDs (solved by covering them with little round pieces of sticker).

Can people on massdrop not read or something? It's 78 for the red led version, this one being sold by massdrop for 85 dollars is the rgb one, which is currently 140 on amazon. If you want to get the red one through massdrop, it's 65 dollars, so still cheaper than amazon.

MonkeyspitI could not agree with you more, the shipping costs can simply be ludicrous some times. when the zippo hand warmers were offered the product cost 20.00$ if i remember correctly and shipping was around 40.00$ plus paying conversion it would have cost more then 70.00$

here is a comment I posted showing the math associated with this claim. please keep in mind that this is not a large item, only two small metal cases slightly larger then the palm of your hand
If this is typical i'm afraid I wont be using massdrop much longer which is a shame because I really do like the excitement of waiting for a package, just not when the shipping costs more then minimum wage

I recommend buying this keyboard on amazon because its priced at 85$ usd which is less then the current drop and shipping combined. The cheaper blue and red versions are only 70$ usd too. And if u have amazon prime ( free trial if u make a new account) they'll come in 2-3 days, that'll be before payment is received on this drop and your gonna have to wait a month too. But hurry! only 4 left for the RGB keyboard. Mine is coming in 2 days, I'll hope to get a review out before the drop ends or future prospects.

JustANobodyIt's saying it's $99 for the RGB version now on Amazon, and $69 for the single LED option. Massdrop is 79 and 59 respectively. Given that some will pay sales tax via Amazon it may or may not work out for you. Generally speaking it's kind of a wash for the single LED version, except with Amazon you'd have it in 2 days.
The RGB version is better priced here.

I demand a bluetooth mechanical keyboard with vibration keys. So when you press on games you feel a hipactic bumb but they have to still click but feel bumpy!!!!

I wish I could say I'm enjoying this keyboard. The keyboard I bought over a month ago. The keyboard with the estimated shipping date of three weeks ago. However, instead all I have is a tracking number letting me know that despite me living across the atlantic from New Jersey where the keyboard shipped from, it is instead going coast to coast and is currently enjoying the scenic views of Iowa, over 900 miles in the wrong direction. So, needless to say I can't wait for if/when it finally arrives so I can delete massdrop from my internet history and go back to happier times when it was "that company Linus mentions from time to time".

Iowa's not so bad (I'm from there originally :) ) but hopefully that's just a quick sorting stop and it will continue along to reach you on the other side of the pond shortly. Unfortunately your tracking number didn't give me an ETA because I assume that Customs has to work their magic in there for overseas orders and we don't have complete visibility yet. I still haven't received anything about my shipment. With shipping times to Australia being as they are I'm not sure I'll get it before Christmas. This is really getting ridiculous now.
