It's been a few weeks since I got this. This pen is complete garbage. I can't stress that enough.
It has never had a good flow of ink, always starts and stops. Now the part where the collar connects has started to break. What cheap construction.
I wish I never bought this.
TZIGamesThe ink flow may be able to be reparied. The collar breaking is very alarming for sure.
If you're aiming for trying to salvage the pen, let me know, and I can post some information about how to increase ink flow. It'll kinda depend on where the bottleneck is at, if it's in the nib or the feed, about what you may need to do. A good first solution is to get some ink cleaning solution (or make your own), and flush and let the pen sit for awhile. The problem with mass produced pens (likely like this) is that there's very little cleaning/testing at the factory, so you can have oils from manufacturing sitting in the nib.
The breaking though, that's really bad. Depending on where that's at, and how it is, fixing that may be really difficult. But, there are likely ways of fixing that too if you want to provide some pictures.
TheDarkTrumpetI never thought of doing a proper cleaning before inking. I’ve had issues with multiple pens on their first ink. What do you use to flush your pens? I haven’t gotten around to buying a proper cleaning kit, was thinking of just buying the one Goulet sells.

All of the the colors are in stock on the vendor’s website. There is even an option for a cartridge and a stand.
If you choose the pen and the converter, massdrop is only a $10 discount, and it ships faster from the vendor.
"Gold Ore" is pictured as a color option in this drop, yet when I went to buy it, no such option exists...sold out or otherwise. What gives? Why show the option if it was never available within this drop? Is it now? Will it be?
"A Pretty pen a great writer does not make" you can quote me on that one... No EF nib, no posting, short pen, the drastic taper of the grip section and the glow in the dark gimmick.... Oh, just tell me why is that useful, unless it provides enough light to write with in the dark. I hate to admit I sleep at night so it’s useless to me. This fountain pen is well suited for someone who likes flair and has petite hands.
"NOT" a pen for me.
Two things that make this pen a terrible thing. First, that step up between the holder and the barrel is horrible and will feel like crap in your hands. Second and worst of all, why on earth would you put a Schmidt nib on this? Those nibs are terrible as various people here have found out first hand.
EricInMarylandFrom the Edison Pen website: Schmidt does not manufacture nibs. Schmidt buys their nibs from JoWo and Bock and then they assemble and distribute."
