I had been eyeing the BENU pen line for a while, but was having a hard time justifying the expense. Then this offer came along, and I couldn't resist. Love, love, LOVE the BENU. It's really comfortable and is a super smooth writer. Plus, I got the luminous blue, which glows, and even though I 'm not going to write in the dark, I appreciate the pen's beautiful glow. Even in the daylight, it is gorgeous pen, and neutral enough that I can put any ink in it (I'm a little obsessive about color matching pens and inks).
I have a lot of fountain pens--this one is one of the awesome ones. The Schmidt nib is one of the smoothest I own. To me it's a beautiful barrel and I really like the unusual faceting. The cap doesn't post, but I'm fine with that--sometimes I post caps, sometimes I don't. I recommend this pen.
Honestly, this pen is SUPER pretty. I picked Medium tip based on the not-so-favorable reviews of the flow of the nib, but I find Medium a tad too wide for my liking. But, no complaints here--it's beautiful, and for the price, not a bad purchase.

The glow, in almost complete darkness.

The glow, with not-totally-complete darkness (yes, I'm very technical).
this will be my third fountain pen.
its writes as i would expect, i have only used 2 different inks in it.
love the purple and black with the gold dust, looks so cool.
I like this pen a lot more than I thought I would. I was worried about the non-posting cap, the wide body and the weird shape. I only bought it because I wanted to try a Benu....also, it was the first time I'd seen that the famous luminous blue wasn't more expensive than the other designs/colors (btw, the glow is cool, it impressed my kids, but it serves no practical use. Do people use fountain pens in the dark?). But I find myself writing with it all the time. It is much faster than most of my other fountain pens. I use the others for slow thoughtful writing, but the Benu is the one on my desk that I reach for when I need to take notes during a phone call. That's good because in addition to not posting, it doesn't have a clip, which makes it very inconvenient to carry anywhere--no coffeeshop journaling. Still, it's currently getting the most use of all the pens in my collection. I use it all the times that I used to reach for a rollerball or a Pilot VPen. If you're looking for something elegant and luxurious to write love letters and sign important documents, this is not it. But if you want a VERY COOL everyday utility writer to use only at your desk, I think you'll be very happy. My only complaint is that Drop doesn't include the luminous pen stand (hence 4, rather than 5 stars).
It’s much lighter than I expected - I have several pens and this is easily the lightest pen I own. I can use it all day and the writing experience is effortless.
Lightweight for the size, with a plastic feel. Scratchy nib, which feels like it may smooth out with extended use.
However, it glows like the dickens, and that’s why I wanted it.
Bought this because of the cool glow-in-the-dark feature. It is not as nice as I expected.. seems more cheap plastic feeling than elegant pen feeling. The nib could probably use adjustment too.
