I own many Bestech budget knives and I am never disappointed with my purchase, in fact I just purchased the Pebble today for a smashing $55, normally an $88 knife at Rustic Sportsman, sorry but I gotta share a good deal. The Barracuda has the same great fit and finish with likewise flipper action as all my Bestech's, The only thing they could do to improve their product is to ship all their line with a zipper pouch, I would gladly bay a bit more for that addition, but shouldn't have to.

good quality for the money in a crowed field!
as a very avid knife collector i was surprised at the quality of the Bestech knife , smooth action with a good thwack ! comfortable grip and well built , it is a very crowded field in this range and i have to say it doesn't really stand out in any way from most and could be considered slightly over priced , but this is my first Bestech and i am happy with it , unique design and quality but the very long wait time ( way past when is was supposed to arrive ) takes away some of that joy , good steel and look forward to buying more Bestech knives . over i give it 4 out of 5 due to wait time and competition being slightly cheaper , but over all a good knife and way to try a new well known company .

Loving the knife so far. Action on mine is smooth. I love the look and the feel. It's my first D2 steel knife and I love how sharp it stays and how well it cuts.

8Hate to write this one, as anyone who knows me here knows I'm a fan of this brand, but this particular knife was a complete flop. Multiple complaints here about gritty action, mine definitely had that also, not nearly as smooth as any other BTs i have. When I disassembled to try cleaning and oiling to fix the action I found the hole for the stop on was drilled crooked on one liner. What I didn't notice was that 4 holes in that liner were drilled crooked... including the detent ball hole. 3 flips later and the detent ball fell out 😒 If all that HADN'T been a problem, i still wasn't in love with the design on this one. Handle shape wasn't bad, but not the most ergonomic. Needed better clearance to the liner lock. "Finger choil" is pretty useless considering how shallow it is, wouldn't feel comfortable choking up on this one. Even if I did, it was uncomfortable due to how thin it is in that area anyway and how much space there is between the choil on the blade and the finger groove on the handle, with that wide flat flipper area in between there Would recommend just about any Bestech I've bought, but not this one Edit : pic of 4 oblong holes

doh! sorry you don't have one , they should have sent you one regardless. I know Amazon would have . free of charge . i have gotten many free knives from Amazon because of their return policy and great customer service, i never asked , and i am not trying to pull a fast one , one was a Amazon warehouse purchase and they sent me some dirty old none branded broken knives that a customer must have put in the kershaw box instead of the m390 dividend and they gave me a full refund and shipped a new Kershaw and i didn't have to send the awful back , maybe because i order so much from them and know i am an honest customer , but they always make it right. so far i like massdrop ( cept the wait times ) and like the exclusive knives and descent prices , hopefully you can still get one . good luck and thank you for the response!

FlericThe way Drop works, they don't keep stock on hand, so exchanges aren't possible, except for "Drop Studio" (formerly "MassDrop Made") products Bestech did offer to go ahead and send me a replacement anyway, even after I explained I got a refund instead, but I declined. To be quite honest, this wouldn't have been my favorite BT knife even if the manufacturing issues had been fixed. I had already been toying with ideas on how to severely reprofile the blade shape, and possibly the handle as well...would've done it just for fun, but it would've been a lot of work for a $40 knife

I could go either way on this blade. Pros: Blade shape is great for daily tasks. Sharp. Feels good in hand when not using the finger choil on the blade (more on that below). Cons: Made a grinding noise when opening and closing. This was right out of the box. Pretty terrible - is there any quality control at all where these were made?? The finger choil on the blade is not very useful. One, it's very shallow. If you're doing any sort of plunge cuts, you could slide forward fairly easily and cut yourself. If you're doing some push cuts you should be fine (think whittling). Two, the blade is thin, so even if the choil was cut deeper, you're still pushing your finger against thin metal which isn't that comfortable. Other Notes: I disassembled, cleaned, oiled, reassembled, and got rid of the grinding/gritty sound. Poor QC, your mileage may vary. Bestech needs to have these blades checked before being shipped to customers.

I like the feeling of this knife, the blade feels confident and versatile, also feels safe to grip with a secure locking mechanism. The design is very ergonomically and aesthetically pleasing. The minor cons would be that the handle does not have much detail in the design (slippery when wet) and the locking mechanism is very difficult to operate for someone with bigger hands (very small area to press release the lock). Great offer for the price.

Enjoying the knife so far, the handle is a little rough, but the blade flips out easy enough, and the knife itself is plenty sharp. Would recommend for the price!

D2 Blade + G10 Handle + Bestech + Discounted Price = Great Value
Got the Black DLC blade. Have several knives, and couple of bestech knives for EDC rotation and it is one of the beater. Very sharp out-of-the-box. There was a small scratch on the Black DLC blade upon delivery but Drop/Massdrop still gave very small amount of drop credit which is still appreciated. Though if there was not scratch, will rate it 5/5 for the value.
