Since establishing itself as a reputable name in the knife industry, Bestech has begun to branch out. For proof, look to the company’s G-10 collection, a series of quality folders at a more affordable price point than their traditional titanium frame locks Read More
I’ve had a few Bestech models - couple of budget & the more upscale ‘Ornetta’ - and they’re a good value. Well made knives all around. No interest in this one simply because of the pointy thing on the tail. Can’t imagine that being pleasant to reach past to get in your pocket.
Gotta wonder what marketing genius came up with the name ‘Grampus’ too.
Hope that all who get one are pleased with their purchases.
That’’s about all. Peace out.
I’m real happy with mu Bestech warwolf but as a south Paw it angers me so many knife companies can’t make pocket clips reversible.
Now im seeing Bestech & feriam
Forge come around. I really want this Grampas. Now I had a fruodulent charge on card. And I’m waiting on my new card. Hope it comes before drop ends.
JosehigeerMight want to take a more careful look at the pocket clip. Doesn’t really appear to be reversible - at least not without looking awkward & possibly being uncomfortable.
Specs do say “right hand, tip up carry” & make no mention of ambidexterity.
I have this knife from earlier drop, it's a solid knife. It is worth the price at $40. Tough, finished above average, if you actually use a knife for activities outside the office it will perform well. I didn't even notice the glassbreaker when I carried it. A solid hardworking knife.
Had mine for a while now and I am pleasantly surprised. This was my first bestech but based on this knife I have purchased 2 more. The knife is larger than I was thinking but built well. fit and finish are awesome and it’s a very smooth flipper for the price. I even grew to like the pattern on the scales. Overall a really good knife for the price.
Just received my knife. New to the hobby, but I can at least tell it's really nice. Sharp and smooth right out the box. Compared to Maserin 392 it's huge and heavy. Need to be careful of the size and weight next time. This one will be going in the car, as originally intended, and is not fit for my EDC which I'm okay with.
Does anyone have both the Grampus and the Lion? I have the Lion already and they seem to be very close in functional design. They're close enough that I'm not sure I could justify getting this one as well.
Arie001It appears to be drop point here where as the lion is straight. Only difference besides the slight conturing difference is the grampus is half a mil thicker
I didn't like this design when Bestech knives first came on the scene, but it's grown on me. This is an incredible price that is hard to ignore. BTW I think the "Tan" color is really OD Green. Here's a picture from Bestech's site of the BG02C model:

It's not the black or green one so it's the only other option.
I've got one of these on loan right now, and it's impressive. At just over $40 after shipping with the deal, it's a huge home run. If you want a strong, high quality beater knife in D2 don't think twice.
namhodErgos are good. The G10 to me is a bit aggressive, so if it were my knife I'd sand it down slightly. I never mind getting a knife this way though because I like having that option. And the design pattern on the G10 is smart for overall grip and looks good too.
Just a solid, no nonsense beater knife. I don't especially care for the pommel/glassbreaker though. That thing seems out of place.
