Bestech BG10 "Thorn" Series

Mine arrived today and I cannot stop fidgeting. It is my new EDC favorite. Priced like a beater, but not a beater. My Ontario RAT1 or Bucklite 110 are beaters. This is much nicer. The action is amazing. Best flipper I have by far. The G-10 scales are perfectly textured to be slightly gritty in the middle, with a little more aggressive texturing on the edges. The blade geometry is what I like. Very slicey flat grind drop point. Nicely polished. Classy looking and gentlemanly, but very functional and a great EDC size. More than I expected and I might snag another while they are around. The quality is on par with much more expensive knives.

Saturated means higher quality at a lesser price. Better for the consumer. It is a good time to be into knives. The bad news is it can quickly become an addiction as I am finding. The Civivi is next...

That depends. D2 rusts faster. It will keep the edge longer but is more a pain to sharpen and can chip also. Sandvik steels do the job. That said the reason I jumped on the Thorn is it was the right size for EDC where I work but still useful and was on sale for $34. For $52 I’ll take a Paladin. I love my Mora.
