Looks like there is a very slight recurve in the blade.

440C was once the top of the line stainless steel. It was one of the most popular stainless steels used by custom makers, and if given the right heat treat, it is still a great steel. It was also used in some of the earlier Buck fixed blades for a number of years. It's been replaced by more advanced steels, but it would likely still work for most EDC purposes. It is not the same "440" used in cheap gas station knives. In most of those cases, I'd bet they're just using 420J2 or some variant.

ik what you mean, 440 is the same material that all those cheap knives you can get for around $10. The only difference I see between those and this knife is a brand name and maybe better construction. Unless you really like the brand and are a collector I woudnt go for this knife
