With the press of just one button, this Bonavita brewer makes eight cups of coffee at a time, while the included stainless steel–lined thermal carafe keeps the coffee warm. This brewer’s simple design is based on the premise that reaching an optimal temperature between 195 and 205 degrees Fahrenheit is key to making great coffee Read More
I have the version of this with the timer, purchased at William-Sonoma a number of years ago. In the beginning it worked well, but over time it's started to fail in a variety of ways:
The coffee in the carafe isn't very hot, even just after it finishes.
Water leaks from the reservoir, leaving a mess on the counter.
Can't wash the carafe in the dishwasher, otherwise water gets between the insulated layers.
I'm quite curious to try the Technivorm Moccamaster or the Breville Precision Brewer.
I have a similar Bonavita with a glass carafe. It's been good to me over the last 2 years I'd recommend it. They sometimes show up at TJX/Marshalls in the 120-150 range so I'd say this is a pretty good deal.
Highest recommendation possible for this unit. I use it every morning to brew delicious coffee. No bells and whustles, just a well engineered unit. I paid much for mine. I'm in on this for a backup or gift.
