Great quality and nice watch
I received the watch before the scheduled date, great work Drop! The watch comes from NJ, USA and it's brand new with all the stickers, original special Grammy packaging and papers. The warranty card is blank. I don't buy quartz watches except some very "special". The Bulova Precisionist is one of those "special" ones that I own. I also have a Seiko Premiere Kinetic Perpetual Calendar because I wanted to try that rotor and at the moment I didn't have a "traditional" mechanical perpetual calendar. With this Seiko, I discovered that I read the time in less than a second. And I'm sure of that fact because I always notice the big seconds hand standing still with no movement, until I wait for the rest of the second so I confirm the watch is indeed working. For that and several other reasons, I hate the quartz ticking seconds hand and I hate even more waiting for that seconds hand to actually move. That's one of many other reasons why I love mechanical watches. Now enter the Bulova Precisionist which is really on it's own league. Here you have the nicest continually sweeping seconds hand which puts to shame all of my mechanical watches, even my Tag Heuer Grand Carrera 36 (caliber Zenith El Primero) which ticks @ 36,000 bph. While the Zenith ticks 10 times a second, the Precisionist ticks 16 times a second (so I've heard) Also, the Precisionist will give you an oustanding precision (that's the reason of the name) which is like +-10 seconds a year. The best HAQ (high accuracy quartz) watches (not using GPS, radio or bluetooth synchronization) will give you like +-5 seconds a year, and the pricing will be rather higher in comparison, and those all lack the beautiful sweeping seconds hand from the Bulova Precisionist. So for me, this Bulova was a no brainer. This watch has 300m water resistance with a diver's extension bracelet. The Grammy branding (I don't like branded watches) is not obvious so no big deal. The sapphire crystal is very special because it has some curvature, I don't mean it's domed, but it's like concave only in one axis (it's not concave like a bowl) and it has a beautiful shape. As much as I like this watch, I was never convinced if this was for me considering it's 46.5 mm and somewhat "square" for my taste. Also, I already own a Precisionist chronograph measuring up to 1/1000th second. So when I picked it up, I lent it to a friend and he finally bought the watch from me. I think I regret selling the watch, so if it drops again, it's likely I'll join again.
