I bought these switches as part of my first barebones keyboard build and I'm glad that I did. I knew that I wanted to have a clicky keyboard and these provided just that. The top housing is clear as well so it really helps with the RGB shine through.
I've been reading the complaints of the noise levels of the blue switches, but the metered return to office, I bring my keyboard to work with these beautifully loud switches. It tells those around me that I'm working and far more productive than them. These switches have also increased the productivity of them as well. I've noticed their phone calls have gotten a little louder and more forceful while other co-workers have invested in some quality headphones and concentrating hard on their work. I should get a pay increase for this, but I'm only back in the office two days a week. Imagine if it was everyday, profits would be through the roof.
The only constant thing about Cherry is inconsistency.
Each batch differs in quality. Most are not that noticeable but the most frustrating thing is the housing colour! I've been re-ordering multiple times and faced at least 3 shades of 'yellowness' of the housing already.
I got this and started using it instead of the brown cherry's. Combined with rubber rings under the caps. The only better option for me is the silent version, with rubber rings.
