Product Description
The year is 1980, and you just scored a sweet new keyboard. In front of you are yellow accents amidst subtle gray and off-white keys, an all-the-rage SA profile, unmistakable block texts, and countless days worth of satisfying keystrokes ahead Read More
I really like the SA profile and consequently have a few Maxkey sets and also one from Signature Plastics. I would rate the Domikey set as similar in quality to the Maxkey sets but maybe not quite there yet. Also, Maxkey sets are available for about two thirds of the price.
What I like:
Good packaging with plastic trays and covers in a nice cardboard box.
Colors and legibility of the light caps.
Texture and feel of the caps.
What should be improved:
The orange caps should be darker and maybe less saturated.
The legends on the orange caps should be black. With current white lettering on a bright orange background they are barely legible and also don't really fit in with the rest of the set.
Inconsistency of the legends (bold vs. light letters). I don't think this is terrible but it can still be improved.
Overall, Maxkey sets are less pricy and Signature Plastics sets offer better quality and a larger choice of "exotic" key cap sizes. I don't regret buying this particular set, but Domikey may have difficulties carving out a market niche for themselves.
Inconsistent lettering. Some letters are quite thin, others bold.
(The question mark is incredibly thick)
Some of the black lettering is slightly raised, whilst others are flush and smooth.
There's dust/particles in the yellow caps.
ISO add-on is incomplete. I have two @ and # symbols on my keyboard, and no quotation " and £ symbols. Because there was no alternative to the 2 and 3 on the number symbol row.
(I didn't notice this at purchase, so it's partly my fault.)
Pros:
Looks good at a glance.
Nice colours.
Feels good to type on.

Worse than expected
... and shameful packaging (not box, only an envelope with inline and dirty plastics). Manufacturer discarded as option for future buyings.
I bought this set to replace the caps on my old Razer BW TE 2014. The color is what I thought it was going to be. The packaging was the nicest I have received keycaps in. The profile and molding appear prefect to me. The only negative is the font in not sharp. It is by no means terrible, just a very slight blur. I still like them.
