Product Description
The Drop ALT mechanical keyboard is just like the CTRL, but with 67 keys instead of 87. Absent of function keys, it wastes no space—but it still has a full set of arrows and numerals Read More
Keyboard is hefty and feels very sturdy. I bought the barebones kit since I saw you could purchase it with the GMK Red Samurai keycaps and I also wanted to use different switches than the ones you could get with the pre-built set. It's very easy to get into the board if you want to band-aid and change the stabs. I went with sakurios from zeal pc and keyboard feels amazing. I love the look of the Red Samurai caps and I'm pretty fond of the mx profile. I haven't yet messed with flashing the board but I like the options that are preset on the board for RGB. I highly recommend this keyboard, definitely the best keyboard I've ever had.
Awesome quality! I love how it sounds, looks and feels. Top notch.
I've assambled mine with Zealios V2 and DROP + MATT3O MT3 /DEV/TTY KEYCAP SET. Its like driving a Bugatti - or at least what I can imagine it would be :)
Plate mount will work best, but if you happen to have PCB mount switches you can mod them to allow them to fit (involves clipping two plastic bits off the bottom of each switch).
I'm having some issues with the LEDs on my keyboard. They were working up until I swapped out the stock USB cable for a coiled cable. When I plug it in, the LEDs around the edges flash but none thereafter. I can't seem to toggle any of the LED controls (e.g. function+x)
I already tested different cables and that's not the issue.
Does anyone have any idea what might be the issue?
Sad to say I'm returning my order. Came with 3 loose connectors and 7 non-functioning connectors, even after troubleshooting and switch testing. I would have soldered the 3 loose connectors, but too much to do if I needed to replace 7 connectors. I'll be ordering from Amazon instead for easier returns/replacements, though, since the case is just to smexy to pass up...!
Would the C3 Tangerine Switches be compatible with this board?

SP4C3C0R3Yes, you'd just need to clip the small plastic stabilization pins on the bottom of each switch. The Alt only accepts 3-pin switches, and Tangies are 5-pin.
Any chance this can be VIA compatible? Im on Mac, and the QMK configurator is really tough to work with. I can do it with my PC, but I dont know the command codes to use for Mac
I tried flashing my keyboard, but I accidentally left out the ".bin" part and now my keyboard is completely dead. I know some people get a flashing orange LED when they fail, but mine has no LED.
I've flashed it before successfully, but after this f up, I contacted Drop's support line and they tried to reach a "cross-functional team member" to help me but I have had no response. So I'm reaching out to the community.
Might anyone know how to fix this issue? Or will I have to get a completely new pcb?
Hey guys, so I have the alt and I want to custom Poron foam for both plate and case (I am aware of stupidfish, but I don't think he offers Poron option). Does anyone know how or where may I acquire the foam cutout pattern file so I can send it to somebody to have it laser cut?
