Just got an email saying shipping was delayed. I understand we have a pandemic but you guys really need to get the estimates more accurate. A 2 month delay is pretty annoying.

InfinautI find it hard to believe they just realized this 2 month delay would happen 2 days before it was supposed to ship (12 days after my original May 14th date that was changed with no notification). Come on, drop, we all understand times are tough and things will be slower, but you need to communicate better.

I've contacted Drop support, and am awaiting a reply back, the shortened version of what I said is as follows:
- The delay itself is fine, and not a problem inherently, given the circumstances
- What is not okay is that this delay was clearly kept from buyers so they would have waited as long as possible, dropping the chances of a canceled order.
- The delay was _clearly_ known about ahead of time, because newer drops of the alt and ctrl have a mid July ship date, so again, it's obvious this was kept from buyers, it's not really up for debate.
- When purchasing this, I ordered it because unlike places like KbdFans, this was actually a reasonable timeline to get one. Now, it is not, and I would have been better off ordering from kbdfans, however since I had placed this order, I passed on boards I really wanted when they came in stock on kbdfans and other sites, so this has caused me to miss other boards.
- I had to order parts specifically for this board, plate mount stabs (the ones in there suck and everyone knows it), permanent altering of my healios switches to accommodate the plate mount switch style this board uses, etc. So now my $80 switches can only be used for this board, even if I wanted to cancel and place an order for another board, almost all other boards are pcb mount, so my switches can't be used for them anymore, so I would have to spend _another_ $80 to use any other board.
- I feel it would be fair to at least offer some bonus Drop rewards or something, like 10 bucks, literally anything to be like "Hey, sorry, our communication was god awful, here's us trying to make that right".

I ordered in May and the estimated ship date is today, July 15th. Are there any updates on whether or not there will be a delay?
Hoping it won't be like my Holy Panda order, which has been delayed for more than a month...

thanks yeah the cable totally brings it together...wish i could have gotten the desk mat but was to late...and i really like the quality very very well made, nice and smooth feeling to them now i just need to figure out what switches i want im thinking silent reds just for matching purposes but i dont know weather i want gateron or mx cherry

yeah i was having issues to with lighting and lag on the keys then i plugged it directly into the computer fixed everything

I received an email saying that the delivery was delayed. Are you saying that April pre-orders will be shipped in mid-July? It was expected delivery on May 29th.

BKii2Yes, they pretty much didn't say anything so that you wouldn't cancel the order but could go "Hey, go ahead and cancel the order you waited two months for and missed other group buys for!", and are acting like this is some mysterious thing that happened out of the blue like "Oops! 2 days before ship date all of a sudden we can't make the timeframe, we're actually a month and a half off!"

I understand the delay as it is quite obvious that Covid-19 has slowed down manufacturing across the world. What I don't understand is why Drop waited mere days before informing us of a major delay. It is undeniable that they were aware of this delay well before any emails were sent out. The way this has been handled is appalling and extremely disappointing. I chose this board over others because I thought I would be able to obtain it in a reasonable time frame. That is no longer the case.
