KevinYeah I have the same question. I know in a different thread it was mentioned that a 5-pin version of the pcb was potentially in the works. Was wondering if that is what will go on sale on October/November or if it will just be the regular pcb.

st.izzyUpdated "V2" PCBAs with significant changes likely will not be offered until next year.
MericanShitposterI am going out on limb and guess they'll swap processors, since that is one of bigger complaints from the QMK community, and possibly part of the reason it takes a long time to update the Drop Configurator. The PCB is sort of messy when trying to trace one point to another for the average hobbyist without some college or job expertise, so tidying up the PCB has been another complaint that I read a lot, though I am unsure if they really care about. Some have wanted only south facing LCDs, or a choice. The ability to use PCB mount stabs, and of course PCB mount switches are the two biggest changes I see, as rattly stabs and the inability to use higher dollar switches is probably the bigger turn offs for those who decide not to buy Drop drivers.
For me, I would be happy with better stabs stability and the ability to use 5 pin switches without destroying 100 dollars worth of switches. I think the Alt is really good otherwise for its price. Drop always has the best looking cases that are consistent without issues. I don't know who they get to do their CNC milling, but they do a good job in my opinion.
