Product Description
The Drop CTRL High-Profile is just like the original CTRL, but now it  comes with a tall CNC-aluminum case that covers the switches. Machined  at a 6-degree angle, the case is ergonomically crafted for a natural  feel—and it’s quite a bit heavier than before Read More

Love it !
Just got my Drop barebones keyboard. I got some Zilents V2 (https://zealpc.net/products/zilents) 67g switches, and Ducky Pudding keycaps. The keyboard looks & feels amazing ! The only catch with the Zilents switches, is the plastic feet need to be clipped.
It's a chonky boy
I really like the high profile look where the switches aren't as exposed on my old keyboard that wasn't designed for modding. The aluminum frame is quite beefy, so it isn't going to move around allot. Hot swap switches mean that you save a lot of time because you don't need to solder. The hot swap motherboard is designed for 3-hole switches, so the Gateron Aliaz Silent switches I used required removing 2 plastic pegs. The socket is recessed, so there were multiple times where the soft metal leads of my switches curled in the recess instead of going in the socket. Using the tweezers from my iFixit kit allowed me to uncurl them from the sides and still use them. All in all, it's a solid keyboard which let me pick the parts I wanted. Since this is my first real custom keyboard, I am very happy with the process.

Anyone having trouble using the alt + f4 shortcut? Idk if i have setting disabled or something on the keyboard but it doesn't do anything for me. Long time lurker but first custom keyboard so I may be missing something obvious. It doesn't work when holding Fn either

crabcakes01Does F4 work otherwise? Have you popped it off to see if one of the prongs on the switch is bent?

I figured it out! You're right, the switch wasn't working. Thanks for a quick response :)

I'm loving this board. There is a ton of quality crammed into this board. I only wish it came in a few more color variants. An e-white, beige, navy and red would be awesome. Especially a beige option. I would love to see a matching number pad kit that you could use the USBC passthrough to connect when needed. That would be *chef kiss* sweet.

This thing screams quality, my goodness. It has a lot of weight to it, but in a nice manner. It stays precisely where I want it to, has fantastic sound, is simple to use, and looks great. I really like how the type-C connector is on both sides. If I had one complaint, it would be that the light bar around the edge does not produce completely consistent light, but this isn't something that bothers me. Keep that in mind at all times. In any case, 5 out of 5! review video

Why does this cost the same as the version with keycaps and switches? This is the one and only keyboard that I've found that has met my criteria for what I want in a "perfect keyboard" for me. Why am I paying for something that is the same price as a completed version, whereas this is missing two components. Even if this was $20 cheaper than the non-barebone, that would be less unnecessary money to spend on the switches and keycaps of my choosing. This is the one thing that is stopping me from purchasing. Is it a marketing tactic or something?

Puglifeboy88I think you are comparing the barebones high profile with the standard ctrl which are both 200$ but the high profile with switches and keycaps starts at 219(sale) originally 250$

I've got my Drop CTRL and it has a problem. Every time when backlight is on there is a high pitch noise from the keyboard. It is most noticeable when it is bright and has color, not white. It is quite loud, I cannot use the keyboard with backlight at all. Does anyone else has this problem? I am quite disappointed with the quality. Edit: Also, doesn't work with USB-C cables from Apple and other manufacturers.

Received mine this week along with Aliaz 60gs and love it... except the spacebar upstroke is so damn loud! Defeats the purpose of the silent Aliaz. Anyone have suggestions on how to improve this?

caiobrighentiAre you talking about stabilizer rattle? Check out holee modding - you can find solid tutorials on YouTube. Any stabilizer tuning will require some kind of lube, though, so you'll need to pick some up, regardless of what you try to do. I use Zilent v2 67g switches, and the stabilizer rattle is aggravating - I'll be doing the holee mod to my stabilizers, myself.

Anyone know if the double-stroking has been addressed? That's the only thing preventing me from buying.
