I ordered the green version with the Halo Trues. The board feels really solid, and the top of mine doesn’t suffer from the paint color inconsistently, so it looks great!
The space bar does squeak quite a lot, as advertised. The space bar keycap that came with the keyboard is pretty warped. Also, the one I received has some pretty significant spring ping that I wasn’t totally prepared for. It looks like I’ll be needing to learn to desolder sooner rather than later to fix both of those issues. The keyboard feels pretty nice to type on, but the sound is pretty off-putting at the moment.
Updated to add:
I swapped out the warped space bar with a spare I had lying around. It seems to have fixed the squeak for the moment.

Good keyboard to mod if you want to do some soldering.
The ENTR has a kind of tinny sound compared to my other keyboards so I decided to take it apart and put it back together just a little better. It’s easy to disassemble. Just unscrew all the screws and the plate/pcb comes right out. Here’s what I did:
- Desolder the switches. This is the most difficult part, but I just did a few at a time.
- Install Mil-max sockets. They’re easy to solder in and now you have a hotswappable board.
- Cut some thin foam for the bottom of the case. There’s not much room, so you could do a tape mod instead.
- Add foam between the plate and pcb. You can either buy some pre cut foam on Amazon that you need to trim up for the screw holes, etc. or I just bought a sheet of adhesive backed foam at the craft store and cut it into strips.
- Paint the plastic top piece and add a coat of acrylic. That really helps with the plastic feeling.
- Replace and lube the stabs.
- Add lubed switches and a nice keycap set.

With labor it is more, but it was a lot of fun and it was a good board to practice on. You are right, though, without mods it is kind of a mess.

jherrExactly, for $50, I didn’t mind taking the chance with messing up the board, desoldering, etc. super happy with the result.

What do you guys think of this? Right now i have like a25 dollar aukey blue switch keyboard that i don't have any complaints about. Would it be woth it for me to buy this refurb?

saucebox11Given research into what switches are available and how they may reflect your tastes, this offer would be a good entry into drop branded boards even though they have a limited feature set compared to their other options. $60 is a more reasonable price in my opinion for a soldered switch tkl than the non-refurb $90.
