Has anyone even bother watching the demonstration video? OMG it's hilarious! Specially the gaming section... Overwatch is COMPLETELY out of sync (there's no way he's actually playing), the girl playing League of Legends is pressing just a bunch of random keys ON A LOOP while the game plays on background (not a single minion got last hit that day), there isn't even a cut on the loop between LoL and the MMO-like game! WTF was that!!! Oh, oh, and there's the "cutting" section, where they show SCREENSHOTS (yes, not even video footage, screenshots blended using a transition) and they guy's using the numpad as a calculator in the mean time... because, you know, you have to calculate where to cut the video, accuracy at it's finest.
Looks like they didn't put any effort on that video, just took some random clips and mixed them together in an afternoon using a cheap video editor. And they put their logo two times in the end, just to make sure you know who did that crap. Wow, 10/10, I don't know about the numpad but I'm bookmarking the video and gonna play it on a loop for the next days.
I was about to get in on this then I noticed mechanicalkeyboards.com has it for the same price + free shipping and I won't have to wait til the middle of December.
lawlessNoticed that too, but sadly Shipping fees there is more expensive than the number pad itself (for me). So massdrop will be the only choice for me.
lawlessI was going to say this one has free shipping, but I checked and so does mechanicalkeyboards.com for this item. Their free shipping only takes about a week to get to you. Looks like you can also select the Ducky keychain under the freebies section of the listing too. There is literally no reason to buy this here unless you are outside of the United States and shipping here is cheaper.
I too like the look of the keycaps lettering on the massdrop pictures than the ones on the Ducky Website. Thus is a deal breaker for me because i hate stencil lettering. It makes it look cheap like they ran out of ink and parts of the letter is missing. How did this get approved for final production, beats me.
All the discussion related to Mac / macOS support is over a year old, and seems somewhat contradictory; is there any definitive answers on macOS support for the fn keys or overall programmability? does anyone know if I can override the lack of Mac support by using third party apps like Keyboard Maestro? Thanks.
Boy! I am loving this as simply a retro calculator. Will the backlighting still work on battery alone? My guess is No.
Also, some are reporting below that the font shown here is not the same as on the shipped models. Is that the case? I actually like the bolder font shown here and would be disappointed if it didn’t come that way.
glennacThe version that I received has a bold font similar to the drop photos, however the font utilizes a stenciled design that I'm not the biggest fan of. Thankfully the stenciling isn't super apparent.
