I'm surprised these haven't been selling faster on this drop - USA made, great materials, good price ($300 for the old models was too much), and earlier criticisms have been addressed with redesign. I haven't been able to find anything negative about these new models. Only thing keeping me from the join button is my Gerber Propel which is pretty similar in form and function.
I found this video giving a review of the knives and he is also promoting a deal on older overstock styles. The tip of knives in the video are straight, but in the Massdrop photos they are the new tip that has an angle added to the tip. I wonder if this drop is for the old style they are getting rid of or the new updated new tip that is shown in the photos.

Googling around has shown that firstedge makes knives for the Navy Seals their knives are extremely corrosion resistant . These knives were $300 dollars last year. Why are they so cheap now ?
I found 2 different reviews that say these blades chip easily ,a common problem with Elmax steel which is why Benchmade won't work with Elmax. One review was a Amazon customer the other was budgetbugout on YouTube .
The modified tanto blade geometry is supposed to address the tip strength issue- however, even first edge says that the tips (on the folders) aren't designed for prying. The one piece survival knives and field knives held up in tester videos to prying, but they are heavier and thicker. blades.
