P5BJEsusI don't understand. How do you buy it directly from them? The best I see is the link to bestbuy..
Edit: Oh the site was messed up from some add-ons.
Mining has crashed, mining cards that were raped are being sold in bulk on used market, the only reason cards are still expensive is because stupid impatient people are buying them when it's literally cheaper to buy a prebuilt PC at this point.
This is not a good deal, not only can you find this price in other places, but by the time this ships, you'll be able to find a better one easily. Everyone knows GFX card prices are in the crapper because of miners, but if you can't make an actual deal, don't put the drop up.
20 dollars more is basically the same price for most people who are not budget tight. People don't want to wait for 3-4 weeks for a card they need/want now. So, for most, this will not be a good deal.
You should not forget that this is not $499.99 NOW, this $499.99 a month (or likely more with your delays) from now, by that time Nvidia might already announce next gen and this gen videocards will be on clearance EVERYWHERE.
At this point this is a bad deal. The price should come down significantly because it will by the time it ships with traditional MD delays as nvidia will already announce the 11 series 🙄
Newegg: $529.99
Newegg after rebate: $499
Newegg with tax and shipping: $572.43
Newegg with tax, shipping and rebate: $542.43
Massdrop flat: $499
I think I'll buy Massdrop and just wait the extra week.
$499? NOW we're starting to get into good deal territory! I just picked up an open box overclocked 1080 last month elsewhere (for a bit more than this). If I were still in the market for a video card I'd jump on this.
OK. I'll amend my statement since I used the layperson eponym of "Bitcoin" in place of "cryptocurrency."
He sadly purchased his card while GPU prices were crazy while cryptocurrency was still causing shortages.
