Is anyone else having extreme difficulty getting these onto Halo True switches? I'm pressing with a considerable amount of force on my Massdrop CTRL keyboard but they only ever catch one side at a time.

Installed on my FC660M, it fits on every switch including Enter, space, backspace and Shifts. My red switch becomes almost the same feeling as the silent red. It changes the typing experience a bit but not a lot in a good way.

I just installed these SOUND-DAMPENING BRACKETS in my GK64 keyboard with 65g Zealios V2 switches, the difference in sound is incredible, my keyboard is considerably more quiet now, I mean CONSIDERABLY more quiet. I highly recommend this product if you need to reduce keyboard noise produced by your switches.

Are these a new version then the ones sold last time, or have Drop seriously not even bothered to update the description to state that they are tested on Cherry switches and NOTHING else. So unless you have Cherry switches YMMV. I can tell you from experience that they don't work on Kails and they don't work on Zilents (not that you would need them, just thought I would try since I had them).

Ordered these for my Corsair K70 with Cherry speed silvers. Greatly reduces the clacking and snapping noises. Well worth the purchase.

I ordered the wrong version :( I have the PCB ones, but my keyboard is plate mounted. If anyone also ordered the wrong one, or just wants to swap, shoot me a reply.

I have some healios on an ergo dash, and i'm wondering if these would be good for shortening the bottom out travel distance. I know my switches are already silenced linears so i'm not looking to make them even quieter lol.

I've read that they can shorten the bottom out distance noticeably, similar to the effects when o-rings have been installed. These are in large part for use with clicky tactile mechanical switches like Cherry MX Blues or other MX compatible clicky switches that are clicky enough to annoy one's self or others around them (such as while in a quiet workplace or in a public space in one's home where silence is preferred). If all you're trying to achieve is a shorter bottom-out distance, then maybe consider getting MX o-ring dampeners instead, which are cheaper, or if you want to go even cheaper you can hop on Amazon and purchase some clear "dental bands" (the same kind used for orthodontic braces) and achieve the same result for the best savings.

Sooo… If I mount that contraption on a Cherry MX Silent Red switch, I should get a very, *very* quiet mechanical keyboard, right?

They are also linear. Having just built a board with roselios, coming from MX Browns, I don't think I'm going to keep them. Linear are just too weird to type on. That's preference though, @Chloros may like them. Roselios are insanely quiet for mx switches though - I still don't understand why they have so much less spring scratch than zilents 🤔 Edit: that was meant to be for @MinaDarsh

I *think I got this straight from all the comments below, but to confirm - I could order plate mounts that will still work on PCB switches but NOT vice-versa? Thx!
