Equipped with ten keys, GMK’s Uniqey switch tester allows you to sample five Cherry MX switches—Black, Red, Brown, Clear, and Blue—with and without QMX-Clip brackets that reduce the noise of the switches by up to 10 decibels. Traditionally used by gamers due to their low activation point and lack of feedback, Black switches feature an actuation force of 60 grams. Released in 2008, Red switches are also popular among gamers and require only 45 grams of actuation force. Both Brown (45 grams) and Clear (55 grams) switches give you a slight tactile bump and a bit more audible click, though not as much as Blue switches (50 grams), which come with strong tactile feedback and audible clacking that recalls the tip-tapping of a typewriter.
Note: At checkout you will have the option to add a pack of GMK QMX-Clip sound dampening brackets (+$22.00) for your keyboard. The GMK QMX-Clip is only compatible with PCB mounted keyboards.
