Update time!
Due to the overwhelming demand (in purchases and requests) we've spoken to KBC and they have agreed to increase the production run from 300 units to 600 units*.
We have expressed concern about the increased volume affecting the production time and they have assured us that it won't add more than a few days to the entire multi-week process. The manufacturing costs will be the same but we'll save around $1000 on inbound freight costs (instead of running two drops), so we will pass those savings on to the group and discount all the keyboards by $2 dollars each. To ensure that everyone will have an opportunity to join the extended drop, we will be re-opening this buy on Wednesday at 6am PST.
Note: KBC was surprised by the number of backlit to non-backlit orders (about 5:1), and has given us the heads up that they'll be shipping two batches of keyboards to us, the non-backlits first (around 5 weeks from now) and the backlit's second (around 6-7 weeks from now).
*The actual drop will cap at 590 keyboards because we need a few extras to handle RMAs and DOAs.

MarkIs there any word on whether they will do another run beyond this 600?
If they do plan on doing any more runs, will they be able to mark keyboards (or a cap, such as the esc) to note that they are of the first ones? Eg, the limited run QWERkey.
