I just didnt like that they didnt ship out the orders based on your order number and shipped it out with other factors. So people who entered later in the drop already got their boards.

Just to clarify on the keycap situation for the backlit version of the Poker II.
We have confirmed with our vendor that it will indeed come with PBT keycaps. And it'd be the standard white PBT keycaps that comes with the non-backlit version of the keyboard.
While I understand what you are saying, you also have to understand that this is the discussion area for the Poker II. It would be cool if there was a forum of some sort where we could talk about general things with the MD group, but there isn't. I think discussing it via e-mail is a much better path to take right now than to blow this discussion thread for the Poker II up about MD's recent actions.
@bass , as much as I agree a company should be transparent and truthful with their customers, I think what @nelson was trying to say and also what @andrew.b is trying to say is that this discussion is NOT about Massdrop as a company, but about the product in the GB (in this case the Poker II). It seems as if you are looking for a reason to attack Massdrop as a company, and I think that's something you should talk about in a more private and professional environment other than a simple forum like this one. Obviously Massdrop is still a very young company, but there is no reason to shoot them down when they are obviously trying their best to provide a service, which I think they are doing a brilliant job of.
I guess this is the problem with Massdrop right here. I was on this drop back in July 26th, 2013. The price per keyboard was $79.99 and I ordered two. Shipping for two to Australia was $29.48. The item was shipped on August 6th 2013. I received it a week or so later. Now, the item is almost $25 more expensive at the lowest drop, and the shipping is $29.48 each. What the hell is going on?

I'm not sure I understand. From reading the FAQ, my impression was that international orders do not allow us to track the package. Has this changed?
The previous drop was https://www.massdrop.com/buy/kbt-pokerII, which is a KBT product. They're the same keyboard, right? The plate at the bottom might be slightly different, but I'm still enjoying the same feeling! Anyway, I didn't mean to come off too aggressively, but even though I don't want another one of these, the difference between what I recalled paying and the current drop seemed worth mentioning.
EDIT: I can't comment on the shipping front. It always seems to take one to three weeks, and I'm not fussed about that.
PBT's on the Backlit version? Last I checked all Poker II's with LED's had ABS caps... Massdrop please clarify this because if I get a board with ABS after being told it will be PBT I will be pissed.
We will see what MD is going to say tomorrow. The only board I know that comes with shine through PBT key caps is Deck. I prefer the plain old PBT caps with no light anyway, fewer things to break down.
I hope my Leopold FC660M will indeed come with dye sub PBT caps instead of ABS caps and LEDs. Everything seems quite possible now on MD. :p

If you indeed are responsible for the timing of delivery and so on, then by all means _You_ are the vendor (from the customers' perspective). In that case, by all means charge my credit card and fulfill the order in some promised amount of time.
If you are _not_ responsible for the time of delivery, then don't charge us until delivery takes place. Right now you are earning interest on my hard earned dollars. Suck it up and take responsibility for that please.
Or if that is too much to ask, then just charge us when you take possession of the item and are ready to ship it.
Is this really too much to ask?
WhitneyI understand the difference between what can be expected of a couple of users on a forum organizing a group buy, compared to a company which can repeatedly buy a product like this in significant quantities.
I'm asking as a concerned customer how Massdrop can refine their process to make this a better experience for customers. Personally, the cost of this item is less important to me because as a Canadian it is almost Unobtainium anyway. I would have preferred to have had a higher price tag and to feel less strung along with broken promises.
The reason I went with Massdrop was in the hopes of being better represented than I would have been had I purchased through another route.
I understand there is a shortage of MX switches, and that the manufacturer wasn't up front about this. However I am given to understand that people have been receiving their boards from this drop for a while, and I haven't received mine yet even though I got in pretty early.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease. This is just me squeaking a little bit. I am supposed to get a free gift for referring 5 friends or something; however I'm more likely to refer someone if I get what I paid for in the promised time frame (and yes I was led to believe my board would have been on route much earlier, I'll leave the digging for proof in the comments thread as an exercise for the reader).
Told you the update would come soon! :D Really, though, it's disappointing and all, but it isn't the end of the world. I'm sure it's as terrible an inconvenience for the good folks at massdrop as it is for us. At any rate, I do hope it gets sorted a bit sooner than expected, as I'm typing this message on a $7 membrane keyboard. I feel your pain.

I just wanted to clarify our last update for you. The order was shipped out from the vendor on Monday and is en route to our fulfillment center now. I am communicating with the shipper and getting an ETA on when to expect the package at our warehouse. I will update you guys on 6/17 with updated info. If something comes up before than I will let you know.
