Never ordering a kit from here again

Initially took forever to arrive, thats okay, this was my first keyboard build. Made a mistake with the soldering and had to get replacement parts. After asking KBDfans directly, they said they were NOT associated with this product. Ordering new parts from the real KBDfans, they are completely different sizes than what is being sold here.

Holy hell where do I even begin...

So, I ordered my Keyboard in late January. It said it shipped March 31st... I found out its been sitting on the west coast for nearly 3 weeks. It spent all of April in China, 3 weeks in California, a week bouncing around between CT and NJ, and then it arrived on my doorstep on the 30th of May, 2 months late. The week prior, I sent multiple emails to Drop, and they basically went nowhere. Now, the board it's self is pretty dope. Heavy as hell, solidly made, and over good quality. However, the absolute shitshow that was getting the board made the nearly $145 purchase not worth it. If you can, buy straight from KBDFans, their customer support is great! I had no issues with shipping or receiving beyond a significant delay in customs, and as I have most stuff shipped to my office, it sat boxed up at my desk until I could go retrieve it due to the pandemic. I finally did go get it and assemble the kit. To my dismay the USB type C connector on the board would not make solid contact with the cable so unless it is sitting at a very specific angle, the keyboard disconnects. I contacted support regarding the issue but it seems that I was out of whatever grace period I was allowed. It did sit in customs for quite a while before being delivered to the office and I don't think I waited more than a week to go pick it up. Oh well. At least kbdfans had the foresight to put pads on the board for the USB headers on the microcontroller so I can always hardwire a cable if this gets to be too much. In terms of quality and overall satisfaction, I would say it is a pretty good keyboard. It came preflashed with QMK so I didn't have to tweak the layout but I chose to anyways. I give the keyboard itself 4 stars but I the transaction barely rates as 2 due to being unable to obtain an replacement PCB in these "unprecedented times".

Great budget kit

This kit is a great budget entry to custom mechanical keyboards and the 75% layout. The kit comes with everything included to build (except screwdriver and soldering iron). Mine came with a corner damaged, but thankfully it was closer to the underside so it isn't visible in most circumstances.

Fantastic Buy It!

For the price this keyboard is amazing. I bought mine with out keycaps or it built and it came out to $135 and it came with switches you cant find a deal with a 75% layout for cheaper! The only thing I will say is to buy better stabilizers if you plan on using this alot, the ones it comes with are fine just a little cheap and could break if you are not carefull removing keys off them.
