Product Description
Made in Italy from a solid stick of wood—a steaming process that takes months—this handcrafted umbrella is both strong and flexible, and can even be used as a cane. It’s available in your choice of three different types of wood and a variety of different polyester canopies Read More
The wood is sturdy enough and looks quite elegant when the umbrella is expanded. My only concern is the canopy material can sometimes fold in when deploying quickly.
Solid, sturdy, and seriously stylish. I'm getting mine engraved, because being without this would be a shame. Even when it only rains 3 days out of 3 weeks, it's worth every penny.
For a solid stick construction umbrella, you probably won't find anything better for the price. The only thing that is competitive in the price category is from London Undercover, which is still significantly higher than what you get with this. From there, the only options are Maglia and Fox.
The construction is really well done, I got the standard navy with chestnut handle. Wood is light but feels sturdy, looks like real horn on the tip. Smooth action, and the canopy is a pretty good size. I'm 6'2", but my arms are pretty long, and I can use this as a walking stick quite easily.
The only couple of things that are a bit worrisome are that when I put any pressure on using it like a walking stick, I can see it visibly buckle. Not sure if this is due to the wood I chose, but just need to be careful. The push button for wrapping up the umbrella I feel could get worn out easily over time, but it should be able to be replaced.
Overall, you're not going to find a solid stick that's a better value than this.
Never thought that I'll spend bit over $200 for a umbrella.
I had a envy for a $450 Italian tiger hickory umbrella that was way too much for me.
So, when I saw it for less than half price, I gave it a shot.
Tiger hickory handle with hound tooth canopy. Master level craftsmanship and materials.
It give me the warm and the fuzzes, every time it rains.
I ordered the burgundy tiger hickory - so the more expensive wood choice - and don't regret it. Heavier than the cheap umbrellas I've been using, but very solid, good-sized canopy, and has held up to adverse conditions like high winds quite well.
The handle is gorgeous- sturdy, and great-looking. The canopy also looks great. So why the low score? Well, I got the Navy Pindot version, and the canopy leaks significantly! There look to be small holes between the stitches forming the pindots. Every time I use this umbrella I get steadily dripped on from all around the canopy. It looks great, but the version I got simply doesn't function as it should! Very disappointing.

This is a wonderful umbrella with a substantial wooden grip that is beautiful to look at and offers plenty of surface area to hold on to. The umbrella is remarkably light weight and durable. I love the greenish shimmer of the cloth. It is a standout among other umbrellas.
