Measuring nearly a foot long, this tactical fixed blade is built for heavy duty jobs. It takes its name from a word that means “noticeable” or “standing out,” which, looking at the design, is fitting Read More
This knife is a beast! Feels great in the hand, looks awesome, and the combo of good old regular carbon steel with a normal grind couped with super tough G10 scales is a superb combination. I personally don't need flash and pomp in my hard working blade, I just want quantity and something I can actually sharpen without needing a scientist degree. Top notch!
Shaving sharp, comfortable
in hand, and a nice weight to it. Fit and finish and overall quality is good. Not a huge fan of the textured coating but i knew that going in and its not terrible anyway just not my first preference. Amazing price and overall im pretty happy with the knife. The sheath seems pretty good also. Havent had a chance to take it outdoors yet but will this weekend and it should do just fine. I also ordered the little river bowie which is a little smaller so ill see which I like best but both were amazing deals. Ive never been dissappointed with Kizer knives before and i own quite a few of their folders. This is my first fixed blade from them and Overall I would recommend buying this knife through massdrop.
A heavy and rugged, blade owing to its thickness, which lends itself well to its effectiveness as a survival type knife. Does well with hard wearing tasks such as chopping wood and branches (think fire and shelter building). The 1095 steel takes an edge easily and retains it well. The handle is very ergonomic and extremely comfortable and G-10 is a plus for water resistance. The hole near the handle can be used to fasten the knife to a shaft to make an effective spear. Excellent value and very well crafted, definitely recommend. With proper care I'm certain it will last a lifetime.
I couldn't believe it when I picked up the box. It was so heavy that I figured two had been sent on accident. This thing is every bit as beefy feeling as my BlackJack I paid twice as much for. The handle fits my hand perfectly and the G-10 is pretty grippy, even though new. Some field time will enhance that aspect I'm sure. I can't wait to get this thing in the woods!
Came very sharp, the coating is very durable (I've done some light battoning with the knife), but the included sheath feels a bit cheap for such a hefty knife.
Hard to beat the price/value on this kizer. I think I paid $58. Similar offerings are at least $80 and some are 120-150. Granted it’s made in China, but Chinese knives have come a long way in the past 5-10 years
