Why in the (insert adjective) isn't this in the audiophile section? This is definitely more audiophiley than most of the China brands or China-rebranded-Western brands that Massdrop likes to drop.
I've owned the X11(no i) version of these headphones for a few months now (they don't have the remote). I'm a big fan of Klipsch speakers, but not necessarily a fan of their headphones. In fact, the Image S4 was the first IEM I ever tried outside ones packaged with a phone (because I like Klipsch and was foolish enough at the time to listen to Amazon reviewers raving about their sound). I almost gave up on buying headphones, because they didn't sound much better than the freebies. I also tried a pair of their on ears a while back and didn't like them much (don't remember which model, but I do remember they were really ugly). So I don't generally think too highly of Klipsch headphones. I moved on and found other gear I liked much better.
Fast forward a couple years to when I saw these on a fantastic flash deal on Newegg. I took the plunge to see if their higher end stuff was any better. I was surprised how good these turned out to be, and they are one of the three IEMs I use regularly (1More Triples and MD PX are the others). The sound on these is excellent, and I'm amazed at the engineering that can pack it into such a small design - which is really nice looking as well. Where these really shine is on the comfort to performance ratio. They are very small and light. I have to consciously try to feel them. The oval tips fit my ear better than any other tips I've tried, and have great isolation (although tips, like sound, are very much a personal preference). These are my out and about IEMs and serve that role well. No need whatsoever for an amp.
As other have noted, though, Klipsch IEMs are notorious for being easy to break. The S4s I mentioned above died the first time my teenage son used them. I keep mine in their case and baby them, because there is a a lot of evidence of their fragility. I noticed that these have a 2 year warranty from Klipsch listed, which was the older Klipsch standard. That's better than the 1 year warranty currently posted on their site and included on the warranty card with mine. I'm skeptical - I'd screenshot that if I were buying these :)

If you treat your stuff well, I think they are a great deal at this price.
GunsOfBrixtonI’ve had the x11i’s for a few years now and I completely agree with you. I had the s4’s previously too. I sometimes use the x11 with a fiio e06. A tiny amp, but it does open up the x11 a little. I usually only bring it with me if i know I’ll have time to sit down and listen, as opposed to being on the go.
Newegg has them for 70 dollars and you won’t have to wait for several weeks to get your product, unless you wanna save the 5 bucks then just get them from newegg
These in-ear headphones are my favorite by far for airplane travel... comfortable for long flights (don't laugh at the "oval earpieces", they really are better than most), great sound (more detailed and spatial than my Bose QC 35s). The Klipsch top of the line in-ears have had variations of this design for a few years now; I discovered them by accident, but now every time I see a deal, I snap up another pair... the first few pairs haven't gone bad, but just in case... ;)
We can be a finicky bunch, thats for sure! I know people who think JBL is the only speaker to own, I own them, and Klipsch, and a half dozen other brands because I enjoy something specific about each individual set. Full Disclosure, I own set of Klipsch Belle that stay in my den, this does taint me and make me partial to Klipsch...... Still, Specs are specs and these things are more deserving than "Tech". Same concept would apply it they were generic and had these specs and I had heard and verified them. I wrote a note a while back about the wireless version with the APX Bluetooth feature that almost nothing else in Audiophile offers but all the Audiophile bluetooth players use it..... One last note and thanks for reading this far down before I finish, the older I get and the less I her the highs I once heard the more I appreciate headphone manufactures with a good CLEAN low frequency which these give in spades. Not a boomy or extra bass for the sake of people like bass but the ability to reproduce bass clean in an IEM. These do a real nice job. Doggone it I am going to work for Klipsch.
modbobThe oval ear tips are the most comfortable bud tips I've ever had.
I've moved on to complete wireless, so I don't use these as much anymore, but they are so comfy.
got mine today. missing one eartip though. the sound right out of the box is that the bass sounds boomy. do these earphones need burn-in?
update: ive been listening to these earphones for some time now paired with pono player and I think this is the most detailed earphones I've owned (compared to ie 80, lz a4, lz a3s, and trinity phantom master). I just can't believe how big the sound is coming off from these tiny earphones. worth it.
