These headphones have reignited my love for music! They kick the ever loving Sh** out of the status symbol Beats be Dre crap that I wasted my $$$ on. Awesome and totally worth the price tag. Thanks Fostex and Massdrop!

lrobbo314Beats are great...
...for the uninformed and unwashed masses of peasants.

lrobbo314I'm glad that you saw the light. Lots of fanatical Beats fans out there don't understand or care how artificial most of their products sound and how technically inferior they are compared to other products in their price range. Start talking technical specifications with them and see how quick they shut down and/or give you a glazed over look.
That said, people will pay a premium for the Beats name and love overly boosted bass. I've demo'd multiple Beats products over the years at Best Buy and never found myself impressed. I guess I'm just not a bass head.

RiflemanFirstI don't know anything about headphones technically. I do know that when I started listening to bands like Magic Sword and Dance With The Dead, when I listened to them on the Beats, you could barely even hear parts of the song that I heard on a pair of Bose workout headphones I had. High guitar solos and EDM elements were lost almost completely on the Beats.

legobatmanIf people legitimately like the way Beats sound, good for them. I personally try to avoid a company that sells $400 "Professional" headphones and only lists cable length in the tech specs...

RiflemanFirstThe funny thing is that "cable length" is only a tiny portion of "size and weight", it technically didn't even talk about dimension and weight.

lrobbo314Why compare to Dr. Dre? This is another league. Compare it with Audioquest Nighthawk, Sennheiser HD650, Shure SRH-1540 etc.
