Simple question for Mr Cavalli (or others if they are 100% positive of the answer):
Does this amp require 'warm up' time after power on because of the tube? If so, how much, and is there some kind of relay or whatever for the tube warmup?
MadMan007Tubes require about 20-30s to warmup. Some faster.
The CTH has a protection circuit that keeps the headphones disconnected until warmup period is over and if the average DC voltages at the two outputs are low and safe.
This is indicated on the front panel with a single LED that is red during startup or fault condition and white when everything ok.

MadMan007IMO absolutely, nor is it a subtle change. For me at about 30-35 minutes into listening, within the span of less than a minute or two the soundstage greatly enlarges, transients are much more appreciable, everything gets breathy, yadda yadda yadda. I’m no physicist but this is what my ears tell me, in addition to other sound-heads that have listened to it from start-up for about an hour. Everyone seems to hear the change come in around the 35 minute mark or so. Before a session I ALWAYS let it run quietly for around an hour or so with my Focal Stellia headphone plugged in, letting it shuffle tracks on its own. Additionally and frustratingly, if I need to turn the power off momentarily (to switch gear or so), it seems to take at least another 30+ minutes to get back to the same place. For me the difference is so pronounced that I just can’t turn it on and start listening when I want which is frustrating. Don’t get me wrong, it still sounds better at the moment it powers on than without the amp entirely, but it really evolves into something else if you give it the time. Using the stock tube fwiw.
