Missed out on MiTo’s electric Pulse custom keycap set? Looking for a handsome, heavyweight keyboard with all the bells and whistles you could ever need? How about both. This version of the Massdrop CTRL High-Profile is just like the original, but now it comes with a set of iconic Pulse keycaps and a matching anodized aluminum case—both of which are available in two colorways to make it your own. Machined to have a 6-degree angle, the case is ergonomically crafted for a natural feel. Thanks to the Kaihua switch sockets, the keyboard allows you to swap switches whenever you want with no soldering required. It’s also fully programmable via QMK, meaning you can assign macros or custom keybinds to every key. What’s more, it comes with customizable RGB backlighting and underlighting, dual USB-C connectors, and your choice of switches.
Note: The Massdrop x Mito Pulse CTRL High-Profile Keyboard will launch November 22 at 6:00 a.m. PT. At checkout, you’ll have your choice of a Pulse or Noire case, and your choice of Noire keycaps (black alphas and black modifiers), Standard keycaps (black alphas and cyan mods) with the sculpted profile or flat profile, or no keycaps at all. You’ll also have your choice of switches (pricing will vary) or no switches (- $40).
In order to lock up the busy SA manufacturing slot, we will be collecting payment on November 30. If this is an issue for you, please join the drop after this date.
When you join this drop before it goes into production, you’ll get some exciting perks:
There are two different profiles offered on the Standard colorway: sculpted and flat. The sculpted profile (112343) is the classic, countered configuration that’s designed to resemble typewriters and vintage data terminals; the flat profile—MiTo’s profile of choice—is designed for optimal ergonomics and comfort.
The CTRL High-Profile is optimized to deliver the most light possible through the keycaps. You’ll also have your choice from millions of different colors for every single key. So if you want the lighting to cycle through the entire spectrum, you’ve got it; if you prefer a two-toned look to match your setup, consider it done. There’s also a built-in LED diffuser with light-blocking material to minimize hotspots found in many other keyboards. Worried about flickering? Don’t be. The backlighting displays at a super-high frame rate (100 hertz), so there are no stutters.
Customizing your keyboard is a lot of fun. That’s why the CTRL High-Profile features a fully programmable layout, designed for modification. Using the Massdrop QMK firmware configurator, you have total control over every key. Plus, the configurator allows you to program macros and customized keymapping, so you can easily fine-tune your keyboard for gaming, work, or play. It’s also outfitted with two USB type-C connectors (one on each side), allowing you to use the spare connector to transfer data and charge devices at USB 2.0 speeds.
The CTRL High-Profile is made from a large block of anodized aluminum, which is known for its toughness and ability to hold a quality surface finish. About twice as heavy as the original CTRL, the keyboard won’t budge when you're locked into an intense FPS match or hammering out an essay. Thanks to the built-in switch plate and hot-swappable PCB, the keyboard gives you the freedom to change out switches whenever you like. In fact, the gaps on the sides of the case are specifically designed for the included switch-removal tool. Best of all? You don’t need to solder each switch. Just pop them in and they’re ready to go.
