Just received the white/white keyboard. Are there instructions online? I don't know how to tell if the keyboard is charged, and I'd like a bit more detail on multi-channel pairing. Any input appreciated.
FYI, the keyboard looks and feels great. Initial impression of fit and finish is outstanding, and the typing action (white/clicky switches) is fantastic -- soft, crisp, responsive, with noticeable but muted click. Will be interested to explore additional functionality as I manage to figure it out.
If you are in this drop, I'd strongly suggest cancelling and ordering directly from Morgrie. The keebs (both blue and white versions) are in stock as of this comment. Morgrie shipped my keeb the day after I ordered.
The lack of communication from Drop on this is ridiculous.
edit: The keyboard finally came on 1/25. It was hung up in U.S. customs for a week or so, it seemed. No regrets cancelling my Drop order and directly supporting Morgrie.
I guess at least Drop finally followed through and shipped. Does fedex show it shipping from China? That’s where mine from Morgrie is coming from. Mine just landed in the US a few days ago, so I expect I’ll receive it in a week or so.
noyouarethemanMy Fedex shipping information shows that entry point into the tracking system was in Keasby, NJ on 1/3/21. While I'm sure that the bulk/wholesale shipment for Drop's resale had to come from Morgrie in China, I'd guess that there's another step in Drop's order-fulfillment process because almost everything I've gotten from Drop appears to originate from places all over the U.S.
I'm fine with waiting and I understand that delays happen - not only in this market generally, but also with the current state of everything. However.. that's no excuse not to give an update to customers.
zenomorphBefore I cancelled and decided to not do business with Drop anymore I did email them. It took them a few days to reply back. They said they would email the vendor and update everyone in the chat. After a week of nothing, I emailed them again. They responded back with something along the lines of "we never agreed to that. If the vendor doesn't talk to us we aren't going to update our customers." I told him if he can't give me some sort of information to cancel the order. They refunded my money the next day. Drop doesn't give a crap about the customers. They are just middlemen who get a cut. I have made way too many purchases with Drop over the years and this is by far the worst experience. Morgie already stocked and sold out of this exact keyboard on their site since November 6th. Something is for sure fishy about this deal. I can't believe you all are still waiting. Such a shame.
So...? Status update? I understand if manufacturing took longer than expected, but we're nearing Christmas and the New Year. Are you guys just waiting until USPS/UPS/ETC are less overwhelmed or???
corymrussellI saw this as well. I'd be interested to see what the delivery date is for Morgrie if people order there instead. I've been committed to this purchase for so long that I'm afraid to cancel and order again to just pay more money for it to arrive at the same time it would have been here anyway.
If anyone cancels their Drop order and purchases from Morgrie instead, I'd be curious to hear about the results!
