Now that I have had time to check myself, this is about a $200 discount on officially-approved prices in the USA. At the end of this last February Nikon was offering a better instant-rebate program that put the price right at $1299 by all authorized Nikon sellers. Will the warranty by this offer work when needed? No way to really know until the time comes for a warranty repair. Over 18 years I've owned a Coolpix 995, 2 D80's and a D7000 without ever making a warranty repair claim to date. But plenty of people besides myself have needed to fix a camera or 2. Just to give a quick review on this DSLR, I have only used mine a little bit to this point. The spring season has not been favorable in my neighborhood. The WiFi is more gimmick than feature. If you pair a smartphone and use the app, you can make your smartphone into a remote shutter release. You can also share photos online through the app on the phone but not directly from camera without the phone. I leave WiFi off. Menu and buttons are very customizable. I wish the left-side command dial had a position setting for using the IR remote shutter release like my D7000 does, but I use a plug-in shutter release more anyhow. I have tried using my DX format Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 on this body, and it worked. The image is auto-cropped to 67% size with a box in the viewfinder showing me the correct framing. This 24MP sensor cropped down to 67% gives a 16MP image, identical to the D7000 that I used before, so I will hold on to the Sigma lens a while longer.

These 2 photos are showing off the resolution and macro at f/2.8 of my Tamron 90mm. 2nd pic is a crop made from the 1st. Where it's in focus, it is sharp as a tack.

Everyone willing to shell out $1,300 for a camera is already familiar with the 750's specs (or they can look them up elsewhere). What everyone wants to know about is how the warranty differs for a camera purchased here vs. their favorite camera store. That bit should be stated clearly and up front, wouldn't you agree?

I know the description says "US spec" but the same model is sold around the world. Does this specific offer include the Nikon US warranty? There are several outlets that sell both the US and ROW SKU and the ROW SKU does not receive US warranty support.

stewlevineThe listing does say that Nikon's 1 year warranty is included. Still it would be good to have some confirmation that this is not a gray market camera.

$1299 is no bargain. You can buy this camera all day long for less money from many reputable camera dealers. What's the attraction to MassDrop?

FredKingstonI actually think this is pretty good if its a US model and not gray market. The 7500 clocks in right around this price.

nachrTry checking around again. This is pretty close to average price currently. Nikon is clearing out old inventory on this older model. I bought a D750 kit with 24-120mm f/4 lens just 8 weeks ago at an actual brick and mortor camera store for $1799. Registered serial number on Nikon's web site and everything.
