Why choose one color for your keyboard when you can have every color under the sun? Available in either an 87 or 108 keycap set, the NPKC Rainbow Keycaps give you a pastel color gradient that follows the ROYGBIV sequence to dazzling effect Read More
niiiice! yeah, totes agree on the font and quality. i'm debating on whether i should switch to the blanks so i can make my board marshmallow status.. shoot...
smart to showcase the planck considering the drop, but then why not have a good planck option? now you just get a halfasses rainbow on the planck...
also, why no ISO option :(?
these are still my all time favorite set so far, they're the most beautiful ones i've ever seen and they still take me off-guard sometimes when i walk into my room and see that amazing splash of color on my desk
If you want to cover your planck in blanks, and you've got a grid planck, you'll need to buy the 108-key set of blanks since the 87-key doesn't have enough of the same row profile to cover the bottom row of the planck. (Learn from my mistake)
You should be fine. There are exactly eleven 1U keys in the row above the spacebar. This includes the arrow cluster. If you were going for the full grid on a Planck, you'd need to order the 108-key set since that adds a further three 1U keys.
These are thinner than I would like. Don't recommend using with bright leds as the light bleeds through. They look really nice tho and the colors are real pretty
Well the best tool to use would be... a mill. I'm not sure if you'll be able to accomplish this with only a file. You can start by removing big chunks with a pair of pliers/wire cutters. A mill though will truly get rid of all the plastic that is left on the bottom.
I had to modify some of the modifier keys to fit on a costar style board. A bit of heat from a heat gun and some straightening helped them not get stuck on the stabs. They look great.
No problem, here it is row by row. Obviously the NPKC caps are going to be taller, and at a bit more angled. The Varmilo caps, especially the middle two rows, have very slight angles in comparison to other profiles.
Row 1, tallest row, both NPKC and Varmilo have the same top two rows (esc and number row)

Row 2, slight difference.

Row 3, similar difference

Row 4, difference is more pronounced.

Row4/5, Varmilo actually uses a row 5 it looks like for the bottom row instead of repeating row 4 like many manufacturers do. The angle looks more extreme than the picture above.
SuembeauxThat's kind of you to take pictures. Thank you. But in your opinion, would it be nice to type on if mix by line especially on alphas? like A-Varmilo, S- NPKC, D-Varmilo ...?
