I bought these gloves for walking the dogs in subzero weather. I'm able to hang onto the leashes with a tighter grip with these gloves. They are very warm and comfortable to wear. Only down side to when you go to pull them off it is hard to keep the inner liner from pulling out. Not that big of a deal for the earth and comfit of these gloves!

Used these snowboarding, def everything i wanted in mitts. Has wrist straps, removable inner layer, has straps on index finger for hanging (if wet), and warm!

I like the design and construction, the versatility of the liner glove and mitt design. However, the XL size is barely large enough for my hands, so when pulling them off, I have to squeeze the fingers of the liner glove tightly through the outer mitt, not to pull the liner glove fingers inside out. We'll see if they don't stretch and break-in with use.

After 2 full days of skiing I have been able to properly assess these new gloves. The liners provided were a decent set of travel gloves for trips between the car and more casual wear. The liners are equipped with a set of rubber grip strips across the distal end of the palm and made it easier to grip the steering wheel of my car. With that in mind, the fingers do not have grips in order to make it easier to slide the fingers into the gloves, and I would not recommend that these gloves be worn for driving. When inserting or removing the liners, there are velcro pads at the opening that hold the liners in place when the gloves are worn. But this is not a review of the liners alone. The glove system as a whole is warm, comfortable, and kept my hands dry anytime they were on. Even the times when I had to take my hands out of the gloves to access my phone, my hands were back to comfortable within a few minutes of being back in the glove. I had no issues getting my jacket sleeves over the extended wrist portion of the glove, though my jacket had elastic/velcro wrist straps, which may differ from jacket to jacket. The three finger aspect of the gloves works as well as you'd expect; the extra warmth of the mitten with some of the function/dexterity of a glove. I look forward to using these in the future.

Warm and relatively dexterous, compatible with trekking poles or an ice axe. They can fit a hand warmer.

By far the best Mitt / glove I have ever owned.
My hands were sweating through the polar vortex! Big fan of the lobster mitt and there's enough room to squeeze your index finger into the larger portion if needed, though I don't know where you would need it given how warm they are.

Very nice gloves. They do run a bit large, but that's fine with me as my hands are on the large size of XL anyway. The liners are okay, but they're not the reason I got these. Just went on a bike ride at ~32ºF this morning, and they kept my hands warm (no liners). It's also nice that they're waterproof, as I live in the rainy part of Oregon. EDIT 27 Feb. 2019 - There was a huge snow storm in Eugene the past few days, and I've worn these gloves extensively as a result. Confirmed my initial good impressions, and got to take advantage of the waterproofing. Also, I wanted to mention the drawstring is too long. One of my few complaints.

I like these gloves, and use them around home for taking the dog out, shoveling snow, etc. That said, the "gauntlet" aspect on them is pretty terrible. Trying to tuck in a winter jacket sleeve into them can be done, but isn't easy/quick like it is with my winter mitts. Because of the bad gauntlet design, I limit their use to cool weather where I might not mind my wrist being exposed to outside air. I would not bring them winter camping unless it was above 20F when I was using them. The other thing is the liner glove inside is like a size up from the exterior glove/mitt. So while I have the right size, when I remove the outer glove/mitt, the liner glove is way too big and bulky to be useful. Forget touchscreen functionality. So basically, for me, the only plus to the removeable liner would be if the glove got wet inside & I needed to dry it. I do like the "velcro" on it that keeps the liner in place, but I will probably get rid of the original liner & replace it with one that fits my hand better. Knowing what I know now, I probably wouldn't have spent $50 on them, but maybe they'll prove more useful in the Pacific Northwest versus Minnesota. Just my two cents.

Got to test these out over a week of skiing. I consistently have issues with my hands and feet getting insanely cold, but these gloves kept me comfortable at all times. My hands were almost too hot on the bluebird days (~38°), and just ever-so-slightly chilly in snowy, 15° weather. Not sure how they would perform in temps approaching zero, but these are easily the best gloves I have ever owned including the warmest options from Manzella and Gordini. Included liners work fantastically well, although the touchscreen functionality gets dodgy if you have large fingers like me 😁 For the price, I don't think you could do any better!
